Well, my beef isn't really with the land per se, just the people currently occupying it, so perhaps a nice tsunami to wash them all away would be more appropriate.

And then replaced by whom? A bunch of redneck Arizonans coming to spread the wrath of the Lord against the sodomites?

C'mon Dox, as you and I are both residents of Washington state, you have to know as well as I do that we have far more in common with California than we do with most of the culturally backward heartland, or the south.

I suppose as a non-Seattleite, I can forgive your unawareness of the blight that is migrant Californians moving to the area and ruining it the same way they've ruined California. All the good Seattle traditions like Seafair have been ruined by their PC NIMBY crap, and I won't even mention what they've done to the price of housing in the city.

We do get Californians here in eastern Washington, and north Idaho - we even went through a phase of disliking people from that state back when I was in college. My only beef is those conservatives fleeing the liberalism there, in order to turn the Idaho panhandle into red state central. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with most Californians.

Have you ever even been the "culturally backward" heartland or the south to know what your talking about?
And when's the last time you were even in Cali? The reason people are fleeing that state is because of the s**thole it's become over the years. And I can assure you they are not moving to Washington only.

Pretty sure Arizona has the same problem (as Washington) with Californians moving there.

True - I've just been to California, Oregon, Idaho, and the only foreign country I've ever been to is Canada.

This petition won't work. There's just waaay too many logistical and financial hurdles to be overcome if this ever becomes reality.

I agree. Does anyone in California even support this - beside the odd billionaire who thinks he can get richer by it?

But you just somehow know that the heartland and south are "culturally backward"....

Partially be repute, partially by meeting people from the heartland (I should qualify my previous statement that there are plenty of individuals from that part of the country who are very cultured and intellectual), and of course, from TV!! !! !! !
