Where do you live?

Australia.

I didn't know those conditions existed there.

It's a very domesticated and politically apathetic country. This is a virtue and a curse.

Vid of the actual incident.

IDK why the officers thought that planting their koot on his head and pressing his face into the ground was a good idea for the duration of the vid. At least the officer seemed a little perturbed that he had killed someone. Should make a fun story to tell the kids one day. He's lucky the guy wasn't white, no charges no wrongdoing, SOP.

Thanks, Buff, for posting it. I just came here to do that. I watched it and noticed the Warren Security guy was the one with his knee in Rodriguez's back when he was trying to respond to his wife. Then he becomes still.
According to his wife, they beat him before she started taping it.
I think they overreacted big time. Some will say that's what you get for resisting the cops but is that really true? Cops have to deal with this sort of thing daily and it doesn't result in this very often. I've seen fleeing felons treated better than this guy.
Just because they aren't hitting him with batons or their fists doesn't mean there's isn't some excessive force. Just the fact there are so many and the one Warren cop in the khakis put his knee on the guy for just motioning to his wife as best he could in cuffs. Is that really necessary?

It's because he was a Mexican in Arizona. Legislative movements affect the culture of the state and Arizona has repeatedly criminalized minorities. The law requiring any "person" to show ID or be deported was only recently struck down so these officers most likely thought they weren't dealing with a citizen with legal standing. Unfortunately precedent is on their side. Killing citizens is just their job.

I live in Oklahoma, Buffinator.
I have been thinking about this. I was just at Warren Theater today. I go to see movies several times a month if there's ones I am interested in.I saw Stalingrad in the Imax. Didn't see security driving around the parking lot like they used to.
I think they overdo the security there at times. If someone is stealing a car, yeah, go ahead and arrest them but this incident concerning the mom and dad waaaaaay out of line to go to that extent and it hurt business, too. If you ask me, it's more on the shoulders of Warren Theater than it is Moore Police. I hope the theater will review it's policies. I like going there but not if they are going to get like this with people. It will kinda ruin it some for me.
