I hadn't known Gingrich wad been part of that little cabal, since he was no longer an elected official, but it figures.
The right's racism used to be something that they were even ashamed of, and would try to hide under code words, but since Obama's election, all along with the changing racial demographics, that racism is becoming more upfront and emboldened. Rush Limbaugh is calling the Affordable Care Act "reparations," in order to appeal to racist white's sense of resentment. And so on, and so on.
So lets say by some miracle Herman Cain had been on the 2012 Republican ticket and had been elected as president. Would any criticism of him by the left have been racism? It sure seems so but I'm sure their would be some rationale from the left to make it all good.

If the policies of a Cain Presidency were questioned simply for the political motivation behind them, then obviously no, there's nothing wrong with that - no more than legitimate criticism toward Obama's policies are. But race comes into the subject, such as when Rush Limbaugh and other conservatives accuse the Affordable Care Act of being reparation payment for blacks hidden under a new name, or when birthers question the President's birth place because of his skin color. If the Democrats were ever to make obscene attacks on a black Republican President, then that would be just as inexcusable as what certain right wing Republicans are attacking Obama with.

The criticism of Herman Cain has nothing to do with race. He is simply a joke. A moron. And I am sure that you discounted all of the sexist claims made against him but you believed every sexist claim made against Bill Clinton.

Hmmmm....well I voted for McCain in the '08 elections (I sure as hell didnt brag about it, either) and was told by more than one liberal that I was a racist for not voting for Obama. I'm glad you liberals listen to Rush Limbaugh. Maybe you'll benefit form it. I don't listen to him but I always find out what he's recently said from the liberals.

Personally, I didn't follow Cain that closely because I didnt think he'd make it very far and I was right. I could care less about Clinton getting blown while in office. He's surely not the first or last president to get a knobber but he was dumb (or arrogant) enough to get caught.
