al gore is a clown. they should make a rule that says if you ever held office anywhere in the government at anytime you're banned for life ever holding office again, yes this means no one gets re-elected. its better this way

They are all crooked. It's just which one is going to do less damage. Gore, lies and is hypocritical, so is moore. Bush isn't exactly a boy scout either.

I just want a politician who is somewhat respectable and isn't out their campaigning to cut back on our rights to run.

Haha, and the info was from the Drudge Report, written by the biggest hypocrite of the left or right, or mixture of the two.

The thing I find amusing are the people who claim to be conservative actually don't know what the heck that means.

Oh, my.

Silly Aspies ! ! Al Gore isn't a hypocrite ! !!

It's that damn Global Warming that causes him to use sooooo much electricity ! !! Can't you see that ?? All this freak cold weather, and during the summer he has to turn up the air con so his ferns won't wilt. He has to have such a huge mansion so as to house his family during the coming apocolypse. He has to gather them somewhere safe once outdoor temps become unbearable.

Really ! ! You've got him all wrong ! !!

Am I being stupid here but what is the big deal about Gore using so much electricity. If you have a huge house which is a mansion, it will use more electricity. Or does he always leave things on when they aren't even being used.

I think they said he has to use so much electricity because he has fifty cats.

And imagine if he had won the election in 2000. I would imagine that the White House uses up a lot of juice, too.

Actually, Al Gore's "mansion" is like Bill Gates's mansion--it has his offices, and he holds conferences there. So to compare it to a regular home...eh.

Ah, "South Park," Ahayes...makes me yearn for "Beavis and Butthead." "South Park" used to be funny. Now I can't even watch it.

I wonder if I can find my "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" dvd...

Scoots5012 already attempted to enlighten the foggy-minded, but I shall make a second attempt:
http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070226/NEWS01/70226055

Unfortunately, I believe my attempt is a wasted one considering the fact that those who fear truth prefer to stay within their opaque, cozy little havens of self-righteous ignorance.

I don't think your attempt is wasted nor are the rest are those who "fear truth". All the truth should come out

Gore, no matter what uses a lot of electricity. He talks about saving the environment however he is a wasteful person. He does put his money where his mouth and he is making more effort than many. I commend him for his efforts.

I have a problem though,Instead of trying to reduce how much he uses, he is trying to make his home / car more efficient. They do not mean the same thing.

I liken it to my friend. His car gets 50% better fuel mileage than mine. So he claims he is doing more for the environment. I point out that I drive half the mileage so I use less gas than he does, despite his better fuel efficiency. Which is better for the environment? Driving a more efficient car or using less fuel? One does not automatically equate with the other.

I for one believe in using less, not necessarily buying new things. It takes a tremendous amount of power and fuel to make and dispose of a car and other heavy equipment. If he is in the process now of making his home more efficient, then what was he waiting for? He's been on this kick for years. He should already be done. I went out and bought fluorescent lights for my house. It took me an hour or two to put the bulbs in. Why is he still working on it? He's had years!!

No matter how much you spend on efficiency, if you have a big house and a big car, and you use them a lot, you use more fuel. When his electricity bill is less than mine, I'll congratulate him.

Building green costs a lot of money being one who does have the money and advocates it for others who may not he should set an example. He could be more like Ed Begly Jr at least.

I don't know why building green is so expensive for some people, except I see the wrong building techniques for awkward land. I mean that if one builds a passive solar home, just preparing the ground to stabilize it costs a fortune, when maybe a more appropriate technique could be cheaper.

A friend and her family are living off the grid, and their focus is to use less and to use clean fuel. They compost their human waste, and at Christmas, instead of buying new, they go to garage sales, and get Christmas presents there. I think the only thing my friend buys new is underwear and socks. They are starting to grow their own food, and I'm helping them with a chicken coop to keep the coyotes away from their chickens.

I'm in the process of buying property, and I want to do the same thing. I've found several groups whose purpose is to show people how to do things green, and how to do it cheaply. And according to code.

Metta, Rjaye.
