Yeah, the moon is actually an artificial satellite.
I'm not saying it is, that's just the best theory out there.
That's to do with the moon's geostationary orbit around the earth. I saw Thomas Harriot's map of the moon in detail that's 500 yrs old with the same lunar image one gets if they look outside their window tonight
