Yeah, but "but" should be "and" as it follows rather than detracts from the first part. Putin has vanished and this had lead to rumours as to the reason.

Another post eaten. Putin returned, after activating the Dead Hand Defense, launch everything if attacked. NATO sending troops to the border with Norway, a trainload of tanks crossing Europe, and the Fleet in Georgia. Putin has been busy.

Russia did not wait for the Germans to invade, they advanced and fought them outside of Russia.

Europe has some fast thinking to do if they wish to live.

i've been curious if that mechanism had anything to do with the UVB-76 shortwave station if that has ever been confirmed, though it's likely just an urban legend...

10 days is not enough to organize that large a troop movement unless it the groundwork for it was done previously.

I think it is more likely he was discussing economic ties with China. It is no secret that both China and Putin would benefit enormously from breaking away from the dollar and establishing oil deals/pipelines.

...that or planning his next landgrab push in Ukraine or surrounding areas. He sees Isis is being pushed back now so his window of 'safety' from international troops being arrayed to block him is closing fast.
