There's a book: "Snakes in Suits: When Psychopaths Go to Work" by Robert Hare who has devoted most of his academic career to the investigation of psychopathy.

i believe the number of sociopathic types in America is vastly undercounted.

I agree. They tend to be very charming and great liars. Many people tend to believe what the psychopaths tell them.
