Do some research on 'Bacha Bazi'.

That is what the tradition of prostituting young boys is called....they are either abducted or sometimes sold by

desperately poor families. They are taught to dress and act feminine, including make-up and jewelry.

They are taught to dance,to flirt, and of course, are sexually abused and trained just as women and girls are, by

pimps.

The Koran teaches that homosexuality is a sin; the Bacha Bazi tradition is the open secret in Afghan culture.

The Taliban, being Muslim fundamentalists, stopped it almost completely; anyone caught prostituting boys was

punished,severely, Taliban-style.

One of the reasons that educated women allowed the Talibantocometopowerwasthatthey were the only ones who

would or could stand against this long-entrenched barbarism.
