Yeah, and there's now a tiny chunk missing from it which is exciting - can't wait until it's red though, and after that I think I had better get some sleep.

Yup, a tiny chunk. Gonna go back at 9:35 to see if anything changed.

It's almost completely covered by the earth's shadow now - is turning red at last :P

Reddish grey color where the light isn't. I would take a photo but smartphones aren't good at this. :x

Remember everyone, the Zombies can open doors on a Blood Moon. Good luck making it through the night.

I see no zombies but I do see the moon and a lot of stars. I'm not usually awake at 03:21.

That's why I found a nice secluded fire escape on the side of one of the campuses buildings and sat up there and watched it eclipse.

I've already seen it. At first the full moon looked like is was going through its phase at a much faster speed, but when it got nearly completely covered it took on the spooky dark reddish tinge.

I like to imagine that baby vampires are born (or unborn) during a blood moon, and dey look so cute sucking bwood from deir baby bottles. :skull:

I spent some time on our veranda checking out the eclipse tonight. For once everything went well: total lunar eclipse, super moon and somewhat clear weather. My mother had asked me to wake her up so she could enjoy the rare sight too, and we sat on the veranda watching as it turned redder.

It was a wonderful sight. Never seen a true blood moon before. Around 04 CET the moon was truly red, which I've only seen in pics before. We watched it through binoculars and then it looked less red, but also darker (less luminous).
It was more beautiful seen with the naked eye.
Then, around 05, it disappeared behind a birch tree. I did wonder if she thought anyone would mind if I took it upon myself to get a chainsaw and remove the tree lol.
I'm very glad we got to see it. It was spectacular! :D

It was overcast here until maybe 3 pm, I was sure we'd miss it. But, it cleared up and we were lucky enough to be treated to this (sorry it wasn't sharper, I sorta had to improvise with the optics):
