A better idea would be to put Cosby in the same cell with Jerry Sandusky.

(ofcourse it would help to give Cosby a little facelifting first- to make Cosby look more like a young college boy).

CBC - Bill Cosby case likely to focus on issue of consent amid wine, pills

Quote:
Prosecutors armed with new evidence this year believe his accuser, Andrea Constand, was too impaired by the pills and wine Cosby gave her to consent to the sexual activity that followed at his home.

Cosby gave a deposition after the woman sued him in 2005. He said she never told him to stop.
...

The decision to prosecute came just days before Pennsylvania's 12-year statute of limitations for bringing charges was set to run out. It represents an about-face by the district attorney's office, which under a previous DA declined to charge Cosby in 2005 when Constand first told police that the comic put his hands down her pants.

Prosecutors said Cosby gave Constand pills and wine, then penetrated her with his fingers without her consent while she was impaired, unable to resist or cry out.

So he admits that she didn't consent. They might have a better case than I thought.

Well I am sure people are glad they thought he was some kind of decent person back in his time like socially aware and even doing kid appropriate comedy/t.v....lol.

All these years and now it comes out he's just another rapist.

It's the nature of evil ... it creeps in. Often people who do great things also do evil. It's binary to think they are mutually exclusive.
Cosby did great things for black people in the U.S. If he is a rapist, he still did great things. Evil and good co-exist.

His acts will remain virtually consequence free(for him), imo.
He deserves to be severely punished if the allegations are true, these actions should have destroyed him many years ago.
He will not be punished, he will simply purchase the judicial conclusion he desires.

I feel for the suffering of his alleged victims, they will receive Just Ice (hard and painfully cold) not true Justice.
Official Justice is for the poor and the weak, not the rich.

Cosby will never make it to a jail cell. He'll die a miserable death before the eyes that will be persecuting him for his very existence.

He should enter into some sort of plea deal. That way he wouldn't undergo the public humiliation of a trial.

^^ That's exactly why he should NOT enter a "plea deal", because public humiliation is likely the ONLY punishment he'll receive.

it seems probable to me that a higher court will have to administer justice, as they will go easy on him down here.

Do you also support putting female convicts in cells with convicted rapists?

If what this woman and others say is true, Cosby deserves criminal prosecution.

However, years ago she agreed to a financial payoff to not talk, so how can she legally testify now?

I thought the 'settle out of court, take the money, go away and be quiet' deal was legally binding.

^^ That's just it, it may not be "legal"----as in, "under-the-table" / "off-the-books" / whatever.

Camille Cosby Ordered to Testify Against Bill

http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_News/2016/01/01/Camille-Cosby-ordered-to-testify-in-defamation-suit-against-Bill/5261451671421/

Quote:
BOSTON, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Camille Cosby will be required to testify in a defamation suit filed in Massachusetts by seven women against her husband, Bill, who they accuse of drugging and sexually assaulting them.

United States Magistrate Judge David H. Hennessy denied a motion filed by Camille Cosby that she not be made to testify in the case of the state's marital disqualification law which "renders her incompetent" because she could potentially be asked to speak against her husband.

...

Hennessy wrote in his decision there was "no merit" in Camille Cosby's motion, requiring her to appear for a deposition on January 6, CNN reported.

While the seven women claim they subpeonaed her because she was her husbands business manager for many years, she believes they will ask about personal conversations between her and her husband, as well as shame her by forcing her to answer questions about her husband's extramarital sex life.

I wonder why they won't let her NOT testify? Is it only in a trial that that is applicable?

I thought that in America, in every state, that a woman could not be forced to testify against her husband.

NOT taking her or his side, believe me, but trying to understand the legal side of this.

Cat, are you saying that the initial payoff from Cosby to the accuser may have been in secret, with no paperwork, cash only, and therefore she would have no proof that there ever had been an agreement?

Therefore no broken contract?

Camille Cosby has been called in a civil matter, not the criminal case. Spouses cannot be called in criminal trials.

I just came back from Reno. At New Years it was 16 degrees .I had a good time. As for Camille Cosby, she can always plead the 5th amendment if her lawyer has advised her to do it.
