He's still a U.S. Senator and can still derail the impending budget vote.
He will probably go back to DC and push for TPP to be passed.

Which he was always in favor of contrary to his lying.

I find it interesting he would out of the blue drop out after Trump mentioned his father being with Lee Harvey Oswald.

If Trump is elected President, it will be a truly bad day for America.

In 2008, I would have much rather had Hillary than Obama, but I never thought we'd see another candidate that I would like less than Hillary. Trump did it.

I will say this: as much as I dislike Trump and Hilary, Cruz would have been a nightmare for ordinary Americans.

Yeah...Trump is basically our equivalent of the far-right European political parties like Jobbik. Maybe he's not quite as far as them, but he's still definitely an extremist. Seeing him get this far, I feel like I need to lay off of all those hallucinogens I didn't know I was taking.

Trump is a liberal. He is so far left that Republicans are having fits.

Trump is a"anti-war", so defense industry Republicans may vote for Clinton.
Trump is pro-LGBT, so religious Republicans don't like it.
Trump is anti-NAFTA, so free trade Republicans may vote for Clinton.
Trump wants huge tax increases on the rich, so the rich Republicans may vote for Clinton to stop that.
Trump's tax cut plan is absurd, so fiscal conservatives may vote for Clinton.

George Will and #nevertrump are saying to vote for Clinton to stop the Republican party from being taken over by Trump's left-wing ideology. George Will is saying this could be the end of the Republican party as a conservative party.

The election isn't over yet. Mr. Trump's fans are celebrating prematurely.

A major problem with Trump is that he lies all the time. He lies even when it would be easier to tell the truth. I'm not sure he even knows the truth between the truth and a lie.

That he is also the adult equivalent of a schoolyard bully should be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer from his many antics during the campaign so far. I'd think that in groups like this, people would be against bullies rather than applaud them. Maybe it isn't so bad if the bully is bullying someone else.

I wouldn't call him far right, though. As big a liar is Trump is, I don't think anyone really knows where he is on the political spectrum. Even when he came out with multiple very different positions on an issue, I doubt that any of those positions reflected what he really thinks.

Kasich has ended his campaign today.

Since Trump can't win in the general (despite having a 2-point lead in recent polling), the question is now whether we'll be called misogynists or anti-semites if we disagree with the winner in November, since victory has more or less been handed to the Dems.

They've been saying that about "Teflon-Master-Manipulator-Donald-J-Trump" every step of the way.

Trump says Ted Cruz is a pathalogical liar who is becoming unhinged. A few hours later he is a brave for quitting the race (unlike surviving 7 or so years in a POW camp apprarently) a smart man with a bright future. This is not straight talking telling like it like it is. It is just another two faced politician with a blunter language style.

The following is from http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/43 ... lear-codes

Here’s the truth about Donald Trump. Donald Trump is shallow. He has no understanding of policy. He is full of bluster. He has no substance. He lacks the intellectual curiosity to even learn. You can’t argue policy with this guy. The only thing that Donald Trump believes in is himself. Look, he tells us that his healthcare plan’s going to be fabulous. He tells us his tax plan will be really, really terrific. He is shallow, there is no substance. He doesn’t know anything about policy. He has no idea what he’s talking about. He makes it up on the fly.

He doesn’t believe in limited government. He has told us that. Over and over from his belief in socialized medicine to his desire for tax increases. He has told us over and over that he’s got no problem with big, top-down style government. The only government he’s got with D.C. today, he has no problem with big top-down style government. His only problem is he’s not the one running it today. Donald Trump’s not against big government, he’s just against the folks that happen to be running it. Donald Trump is for Donald Trump. He believes in nothing other than himself.

Look, he’s not a liberal, he’s not a moderate, he’s not a conservative. He’s not a Democrat, he’s not a Republican, he’s not an independent. Donald Trump is for Donald Trump. He’s not for anything, he’s not against anything. Issues don’t mean anything to him. Policies, ideals, they’re not important to him, he is for Donald. Donald Trump is a narcissist and he’s an egomaniac.

Donald Trump is dangerous, but not in the way you think. The reality is we have an incredible opportunity to turn our country around and the question for conservatives is this: are we going to rely and trust proven conservative principles or are we going to turn to a man who believes in nothing but himself? And that is the most essential question we’ve got to answer right now. Are we going to miss this great opportunity? Are we going to apply conservative principles, or do we trust a man who believes in nothing but himself? That’s what makes Donald Trump so dangerous. Many people think he’s dangerous, they say, “Well, you wouldn’t want somebody like that with such a hot head with his fingers on the nuclear codes.” And yeah, that’s certainly true. That’s not the real danger. The real danger is that ironically Donald Trump could destroy America’s chance to be great again.

The reason why those GOP members who voted for Trump, even the conservatives, said they did it because the GOP betrayed them by appealing to minorities, women and working with non Republicans to get stuff done at every level of government.

The "real" conservatives have been complaining for a long while that the GOP isn't "white" enough, isn't "conservative" enough, it too bi-partisan, and has gotten way from the bible and Christian values.
The "real" conservatives and their news station Fox News Network want full deregulation of the major banks and the federal government to repay all the money they made the banks repay.
They also want the federal government to end the investigation into the major banks over the financial crisis.

The "real" conservatives have wanted for a long while to dissolve the GOP if they couldn't gain full control and form their own party.
