people may have been saying the same thing back when nixon visited china in '72.

Most of the world wants a weak stupid USA who gives away all its wealth and does the bidding of the globalists, there are so many people eating a free lunch because of us and it has to end. Our "allies" are not going anywhere and we don't need to worry about those relationships so rather we should focus diplomatic efforts on our so called 'enemies'.

to me, it seems more like half of the world wants the states to stop sticking their nose everywhere and to quit eavesdropping, whereas the other half is totally dependent.

it would be interesting to see how many countries would crumble and go to ruin if the USA and all its influence were to suddenly disappear, then, how quickly they bet on their own feet.

IDK maybe that is the future of world politics and Trump is onto something.

he's definitely more qualified (or at least experienced) to be a reality TV star than a diplomat, i'm sure.

Trump meet with Kim Jong Un -- now that would really be a meeting of losers.

Trump is woefully unprepared to be President. His foreign policy would be far more likely to be a real disaster. He'd make Obama look like a great statesman in comparison.

This is actually good as a "business" move but politics is more of a psychological-game.

Maybe they'll trade advice - Mr. Trump learns how to be more despotic, and Mr. Kim learns how to get laid.

After the two worst foreign policy presidents of all time and Hillary being worse than either, Trump will seem like a god send

I fail to see how a clown would make a good foreign policy President.

Most likely, he'll leave it in such a shambles that we'll think Obama was a genius at foreign policy.

That's a good point. Trump might enjoy being able to put anyone who criticizes him into a prison camp for life.

if the epitome of foreign policy was European leaders wanting to take selfies with you then Obama is a great foreign policy president

but Iraq, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, the Arab Spring, Ukraine, Russia, everything has been a disaster. Trump can't be worse at foreign policy, the foreign policy establishment in the US are extremists and running this country into the ground. Please learn more about what these traitors we have in office have been doing around the world!

I'm not saying that Obama is good at it -- I'm saying that Trump would be far worse.

Trump would be like a mad cow in a china shop when it comes to foreign policy. Instead of making things better, he would likely cripple the US in ways from which we might never recover.

I feel like current foreign policy establishment has already did this, like I said I do not care about our reputation with the socialist left in Europe and South America, things are changing in those places too but we need a foreign policy president that can make deal with and make peace with our enemies. We need a president that prioritizes Russia and China, we need one that can deal with Saudi Arabia and their terrorist outcroppings.

Tell me how Trump will be bad specifically? How will Hillary be better? Remember Hillary supported the war in Iraq, she supported the intervention in Libya, and she championed this insane policy of arming terrorists to fight dictators. Not to mention she wants to bring hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.

They should have a one-on-one sword duel to figure out who is the most powerful dictator!

IMO, it doesn't matter who gets elected in November. Hillary, Bernie, and Trump all have bad ideas for foreign policy.

My dad works for the State Department. Hilary Clinton used to be Secretary of State, so she was my dad's boss. He can say with personal knowledge that she definitely knows how to do the foreign policy thing very well. I don't know up Bernie's foreign policy, but it must be better than Trump's, because Trumps is absolutely atrocious. Also, non-Americans prefer Bernie and Clinton to Trump by a landslide, so that's the first measure of foreign policy.

The North Koreans are looking forward to reunifying Korea if Trump makes good on his rant and pulls our troops out.

South Korea is one of the richest most technologically advanced nations on earth with twice the population of North Korea, if they really wanted nukes(and the US has stationed nukes on the Korean peninsula before) they could probably have them with in a year and the same is true with Japan. North Korea poses a threat but they are not even capable of feeding all their people let alone launching an invasion beyond their borders. China could turn the power off in North Korea and that state would collapse with in 30 days, they just don't want a failed state with nukes or a worse yet unified US-aligned Korea on their doorstep.
