Judge Curiel:

-appointed to California Superior Court by then-Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
-served for 17 years as a federal prosecutor
-was targeted by a Mexican drug cartel in the 1990s for assassination after his efforts to extradite two drug kingpins from Mexico

The former sales managers and other employees of Trump University have turned whistle blowers.
They are helping the Feds and states get the evidence they need on it.

From the NY Times Expose

Quote:
One sales manager for Trump University, Ronald Schnackenberg, recounted how he was reprimanded for not pushing a financially struggling couple hard enough to sign up for a $35,000 real estate class, despite his conclusion that it would endanger their economic future. He watched with disgust, he said, as a fellow Trump University salesman persuaded the couple to purchase the class anyway.

Quote:
“I believe that Trump University was a fraudulent scheme,” Mr. Schnackenberg wrote in his testimony, “and that it preyed upon the elderly and uneducated to separate them from their money.”

Quote:
The most striking documents were written testimony from former employees of Trump University who said they had become disenchanted with the university’s tactics and culture. Corrine Sommer, an event manager, recounted how colleagues encouraged students to open up as many credit cards as possible to pay for classes that many of them could not afford.

You can also read the released legal documents about it, which this information comes from.

One final note from the documents, Trump University employees said instructors were not required to have "real estate" experience to teach courses.

This is going to blow up big since Texas, California, Florida, NY, and others states are on the same side on this.
I mean if Texas is coming after them, then you know you've done goofed big.

Judge Curiel is part of of an organization that supports open borders and encourages illegal immigration, it's fair criticism to say he may have some bias against Mr. Trump. It's a civil case, this is very common in business, nothing will amount to it except empty hopes and dreams on your part.

Nothing hurts a legal immigrant more than having their families with them. They don't care about families like we do. Why do they hate our freedom?

What hurts is the bad schools, no jobs, overburden collapsing social services, and drugs/crime pouring into their communities.

How is it a scam exactly? Their big problem was that it was called 'university' but nobody was fooled into thinking in was a accredited so it really is a semantics argument. Subway better stop calling their training course Subway University, don't want people to get the wrong idea! It is a civil suit, not criminal, if their was fraud involved then it would be criminal. If what Trump did was illegal then why is there no criminal case against him? Perhaps everybody with degrees and no jobs can bring civil suit against the actual universities they went to too which the government profits mightily off and holds these people in undischargable debt slavery..

The thing is, Trump and his people had misrepresented themselves to uneducated, and credulous old people that they were running a legitimate business school. What makes this worse is, these were largely people who couldn't afford to lose money to seminars in which they learned nothing of any use or value.

I didn't say it was illegal! Making money without any consideration of morality is a true American Value.

and the US government is the biggest perpetrator of that

student loans are basically the only profitable part of government, they profit $50 billion+ a year off these loans

It doesn't matter that the judge is a member of La Raza.

Whatever the decision, it is sure to be appealed and if there are any errors by the judge, it will likely go back to trial to make up for those errors.

If the judge was out to get Trump, as some Trump fans think, why did the judge postpone the trial until after the election? If he wanted to influence the election, he could have legitimately had the trial this summer.

For what it's worth, I personally find it appalling that a judge would schedule a trial for the convenience of the rich and famous.
