Why? Trump is a billionaire with a long history of falsehoods and buying politicians. I don't understand why anyone would suddenly believe he changed his ways when he jumped into the race. I mean just look what the actual author of "The Art of the Deal" said. He called Trump a sociopath that isn't nearly as smart as people think he is. "I put lipstick on a pig." - Tony Schwartz

I would have expected Trump to have brought back his overseas business to the US if he was so sincere. That, and as he has an abysmal record on his relations with organized labor, the very movement that has done more for working people than any other institution, I personally question how much empathy he has for the poor.

If he as rich as he claims then there is absolutely no reason why he couldn't use American manufactures. If he really did put America first you would think this would be something he did in his business career, but that's not the case.

Trump actually promotes some of Bernie Sanders' nutty ideas.

For example, Clinton doesn't want to end NAFTA.

What do you say to 1400 Carrier employees in Indiana, who found out this year that the plant is closing down, and the jobs are going to Mexico.

Clinton's message to them is "deal with it , losers".

Trump's base is poor white males.

On the electoral simulator that was floating around, an increase of 5% net gain(more of them or less of minorities), and Trump wins.

EDIT:
Because a simple 5% net gain turnout in his favor, will win him those battle ground states, which is all he needs to win.

Then why is Bernie supporting Hillary and saying he'll do what ever he can to make sure Trump is not elected. And Trumps VP is a full throated supporter of NAFTA and other trade deals. If he was going to surround himself with good people, then why would he pick someone who holds the complete opposite view?

People aren't rational.

Trump offers them emotive reasons to vote for him.

I swear on a jeb interview I watched earlier he muttered that Trump was 'to the left of Michael Moore'.
