unlike in the Philippines if we had our own people power revolution, TPTB would murder us all. they see us as surplus as it is.

Well it's still worth looking into. Although history doesn't set a good precedent, now that I think about it, such as the Bonus Army, Kent State, armed Pinkerton strikebreakers, sonuva, there has to be a way to break power strangleholds without turning violent or becoming as power-hungry as the guys one overthrows, like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkYfmRwryQo

What about just getting out of politics like this, and going on fixing things kind of like the maker movement? Because other than running programs for non-violence, hacking into major new networks to broadcast like the Max Headroom incident, or finding a way to put oxytocin in the water, I'm out of ideas but don't want to see the whole planet blow up, either literally or metaphorically.

Yep, that's why we mere mortals can only trust in the Lord.

I really don't feel anything but frustration and anger to both candidate's sides, as I said similar earlier. Trump supporters believe a guy who's been married multiple times, who has a list of failed business ventures longer than my arm, who says things out of Umberto Eco's Ur-fascism essay, etc., will get rid of brown-skinned people, bring about total security, make America even more of an economic supergiant, etc. And with Clinton supporters, a lot of them are arrogant, denialist of pretty much anything negative of the main Democratic party, rude, projecting their own troll quality onto others, etc. And Sanders supporters, a lot of them are really nice people, but a ton of the online portion isn't without sin either, or more like basically nothing but anti-Clinton memes and bickering and not actually doing anything helpful. God, this election is on one level like being stuck with 2 crappy ice cream flavors while in a Baskin Robbins warehouse, and you can't even touch any of the cartons on the shelves, they can't even be acknowledged or seen. And on another, enough to make a person look at the Joker's words as great advice: "Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened. You can lock them away... forever." (From The Killing Joke, since it gets released Tuesday). Ort this quote that feels pretty relevant right now: "Ladies and gentlemen! You've read about it in the papers! Now witness, before your very eyes, that most rare and tragic of nature's mistakes! I give you: the average man. Physically unremarkable, it instead possesses a deformed set of values. Notice the hideously bloated sense of humanity's importance. Also note the club-footed social conscience and the withered optimism. It's certainly not for the squeamish, is it? Most repulsive of all, are its frail and useless notions of order and sanity. If too much weight is placed upon them... they snap. How does it live, I hear you ask? How does this poor pathetic specimen survive in today's harsh and irrational environment? I'm afraid the sad answer is, 'Not very well'. Faced with the inescapable fact that human existence is mad, random, and pointless, one in eight of them crack up and go stark slavering buggo! Who can blame them? In a world as psychotic as this... any other response would be crazy!" Which is what I feel after reading about Trump's guy calling for summary execution and a thread on Democratic Underground about how the DNC emails mean nothing.
