^Yeah, what you said. My special interest is executions and punishments, not crimes, through the ages. Martyrs Mirror has the accounts of the gruesome deaths of quite a few Christians. Barbarity is in every culture. People just seem to delight in tearing each other apart - verbally and literally.

I figured, well, since I was reading about all these torture devices, I may as well steel my stomach and watch some of those ISIS, Syrian rebels, and Saudi Arabian videos. The site I use is BestGore. Those videos will turn anyone's stomach; I just look at them academically, after all, POTUS and law enforcement agencies all over the world view them to assess the depravity of these killers and how best to deal with them.

I don't get extreme violence, like those kids with the hammer in Ukraine vs the homeless. Gross, but necessary to watch. Go get 'em, Hillary.

Economics may be a factor, but I believe that 'nothing gets the towns attention like a public execution' is a motive they get mileage from.
