Oh Jesus Christ, hacking is illegal. Where is the black and white thinking in this and the adherence to the rules?

Autism isn't a free get out of jail card and if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Is he copying Gary Mckannen now? Oh just because he was depressed and suicidal and autistic, he got off so Lauri thinks he will too because he did. Yeah that was the message they sent to all the aspies out there. It's okay to hack into the US computer system. There is no real consequence except fighting against the extradition and you will win.

We don't all have 100% black and white thinking, and we don't all have in inate need to follow all rules/obey all rules all the time. Also according to the article he'd face prison time in the U.K it's not as though he doesn't receive any consequence unless he's extradited.

Why so we can add another life prisoner to our overcrowded prisons for a sentence 50x harsher than the actual crime committed? We already have the the worlds highest prison population...its so greedy we need to extradite foreigners. 2 years seems to reflect the crime much better than 99 years...did he hurt or kill anyone? NO.

Not to mention that is a much longer sentence than rapists and child-molesters get, talk about an ass backwards system. The U.S doesn't know how to justice....ha so much for 'justice for all'.

Hacking is the new terrorism. It's not a victimless crime. Extradition was very effective when it came to bringing drug kingpins to justice like Pablo Escobar.

I accept that we need prison reform, but that's no excuse to undermine justice.

 terrorism is when you do an extreme act to cause fear and terror in your target as part of an agenda I am sticking to that definition. Also the guy being tried and sentenced in Britain rather than the U.S is not undermining justice, he still gets in trouble...just without the U.S wasting resources and probably tax payer money to bring him here and put him in our prison system.

The U.S resorted to terrorism towards the end of WWII, I wont get into whether it was necessary or not, right or wrong...but I do take issue with people tiptoeing around the word terrorism when describing it. Hacking a system and not doing anything to damage it hardly seems like terrorism...more like criminal mischief.

we don't need 'a new terrorism' when there is plenty of actual terrorism going on in the world.

Escobar was flushed into the open by a government supported paramilitary organization, Los Pepes, then extra-judicially executed on a rooftop; not sure what part extradition played in any of that.

Professor Simon Baron-Cohen said Love is 'not aware of the consequences' of his actions He warned Mr Love is likely to kill himself if he is sent to the US to stand trial

Quote:
Another expert, Dr Michael Kopelman, emeritus professor of neuropsychiatry at King’s College London, found that Mr Love was clinically depressed, suffering from bouts of ‘severe [depression] with some psychotic symptoms’.
And Dr L Thomas Kucharski, professor of psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York, said suicide was his ‘chief concern’ for Mr Love.

Yeah really, and speaking of rapists; the hacker who helped identify and prosecute the infamous Steubenville rapists has gotten a higher sentence than the rapists themselves. :? It's really sick. Stories like these make me wanna download Kali and learn how to use it...

No wonder I always hear about people hating Americans over here. Kinda just fuels the fire really.
