Actually, she won the popular vote. Unfortunately, we have the electoral college in which swing states with small populations can alter the outcome in favor of who gets the most electoral votes.

Who wins the popular vote is meaningless when the aim is to maximize electoral votes. Each candidate would run their campaigns very differently if the aim was to win the popular vote. It isn't a given that the same candidate would win the popular vote if they ran their campaigns to maximize the popular vote.

The electoral college has some very real benefits. A hundred years ago, the population was overwhelmingly rural. Any campaign then to win the popular vote would have to concentrate heavily on the rural vote and could largely ignore the urban vote.

Today the population is something like 80% urban. A campaign to win the popular vote today would concentrate heavily on the urban and could largely ignore the rural vote.

The electoral college helps smooth his out. It makes both the rural and urban vote important. No Presidential candidate can ignore one in favor of the other. This is a big plus, in my opinion.

First off all things would probably not turn out in the same way, in the sense of number of votes, if your president would be elected trough the means of popular vote. Second, the system was put in place to protect smaller states from being dominated by the larger ones.

Actually, there were two very good reasons other than the one you state.
One - The founders didn't think the common man capable of properly choosing the chief executive.
Two - It was a means to protect slave states from being overwhelmed by free states. Like slavery, the electoral college should be tossed out, and told "good riddance."
And how would Clinton have not won if there was no electoral college?

I've read that about the slave states before and have found nothing convincing to back up the claim. All I've ever seen were allegations.

Also, when the electoral college was put into place, I don't think that the northern states were all that much concerned with slavery. That build up over time.

Not sure why she is blaming the FBI director. He didn't really do anything wrong in my mind. I would think most of her anger should be directed at either Julian Assange or herself.

Conspiracy theorists had a real field day with all those emails to analyze. Some of the theories seemed to gain traction because they seemed plausible (and might in fact be true). There's just this huge cloud of doubt over Clinton's head (just how bad is she?) that made it very difficult for anyone to strongly endorse her. They could only do it meekly and unassuredly not sure what to believe. I'm talking about myself mostly. But I think I'm not alone in this sentiment.

What Comey did certainly raised questions about Clinton immediately before the election. It was quite possibly a violation of the Hatch Act.

He shouldn't have done it.

Trump was treated much kinder by the government. They didn't announce any major investigations by him right before the election. They certainly could have done that and it might have had an effect. For example, there were the allegations of the rape of a 13 year old girl and then more recent allegations of throwing parties for wealthy people in a hotel he owned in which drugs and girls as young as 15 were on the menu.

Also, remember the upcoming trial in San Diego over Trump University. Judge Curiel, in spite of being verbally abused by Trump, delayed the trial until after the election to keep it from interfering with the election.

Comey had no choice because the FBI had to take control of the case from the NYPD which was investigating Anthony Weiner and had gained possession of 650,000 emails. The FBI field offices were rebelling against Comey, it was a whitewashing and everybody knew it. Comey didn't want to open it back up and tried to take it back, they are however still investigating the Clinton Foundation which is where the most serious accusations come into play. The career FBI were leaking all types of things because the political appointees wouldn't let them properly investigate.

The FBI did investigate Trump's connection with Russia of which there was none. The other stuff you saying are just BS smears, a lot of manufactured lies made to discredit Trump. There is no 13 year old, it was brought forward by some wackjob former Jerry Springer producer with a history frivolous lawsuits.

If you want to be disgusted go look Podesta and the 'cheese pizza' connection, Hillary and the establishment are the Moloch worshipers.Go look up the type of 'art' that the Podesta brothers like. Go look up what the Clinton's did in Haiti and their connection convicted child abductor and child trafficker Laura Silsby. These people are unfathomable monsters, what did were the Clinton's riding on Jeffrey Epstein's' 'Lolita Express' to his private pedo island?

Apparently the island has some sort of pagan temple and a life size 'cow' statue that gets moved around the island

Image

take note of what animal sits atop that temple, an owl

Here's one of the ritual ceremonies at Bohemian Grove

There's all types of f'd up occult symbols used by the elite in this country and it's circumstantial conspiracy stuff but I guarantee you that it is a lot more true than the bs they tried to pin on Trump.

They did have a choice. Comey did it with plenty of publicity. How often do you hear of the FBI seek publicity while conducting investigations?

Nope. What they found was no evidence of a malicious connection involving Trump. They never claimed that there was no connection.

That's what the speculation was. We do not know whether the there was a real 13 year old girl. What we do know is that Trump partied frequently with Epstein and knew about Epstein's predilection for young girls.

Not sure what Moloch worshipers are, but the crap about the 'cheeze pizza'/'child porn' connection came out from someone on 4chan falsely claiming to be an FBI agent. He made it up and lots of people bought it.

I read a little about it. I looked up the artist on Google and saw many examples of her art and found nothing objectionable. There were many things I wouldn't hang on a wall, but then I like pictures of mountains, pastures, horses, cattle, wind mills, and wildlife.

I've heard mention of something but no explanation of what actually occurred. Perhaps you can fill us in in detail complete with objective sources?

As has Donald Trump -- he has ridden the "Lolita Express" and has been to Epstein's private island. Don't forget that Epstein's address book had a complete page of telephone numbers for calling Trump and another page of telephone numbers for calling Bill Clinton.

Interesting.

Which has nothing to do with Epstein's island. I find it difficult to believe that these people actually believe in such things at Bohemian Grove. I think it is likely more just a getaway for them.

Go look up the research people have done on the cheese pizza connection, it's more than it just a few odd mentions in Podesta's emails.Bill visited that island over 20 times and Hillary was there at least 6 times probably more, they did not bring along their secret service. Moloch was an ancient Canaanite god that inhabitants sacrificed children to. Go look up the 'cremation of care' ceremony at Bohemian Grove, it's starts making sense.

There's a lot weird stuff **** that these people are into, it seems at the very least there is some odd obsession with the occult that the elite in this country have had for over a 100 years but how deep does that rabbit hole go?

I'm not disagreeing about Bill Clinton visiting that island. He even visited it more than did Trump. As for the Secret Service Agents, I think there were reports that he did have Secret Service Agents with him on some flights on Lolita Express. I don't know if any accompanied him to the island.

As for Bohemian Grove, it is nothing more than a place for certain business and political leaders to spend a week or two each year for relaxation. At worst, it's kind of a theme park for them.

I detest conspiracy theories and that's what much of this is.

You do know that most holding membership at Bohemian Grove are conservatives, don't you?
And Moloch worship? Really?????
By the way, Bohemian Grove was originally founded by free spirited bohemian artists and intellectuals, till the right wing politicians and business leaders took over.

What it does mean is, the majority of Americans are liberals and progressives, whether they call themselves that or not. It means most of us still believe the government has an obligation to those people who need a hand up, and who knows everyone deserves the same rights and dignity regardless of race, religion, or economic class.

Hillary didn't come close to winning a majority, she eeked a slim plurality in the PV lead by running up the score in states like California and New York but less than 48%. If Trump had spent the same amount of money and there was a real independent press then he probably would of won in a landslide, he was very close to flipping Colorado/Minnesota/Nevada/Virginia/New Hampshire.

She one the popular vote, and I'll repeat, that means something.

She also outspent him by a mile (not even counting the super PACs) and deployed a much larger and more professional ground game around the country; had he run a less half-assed campaign, we might have been looking at an honest to god landslide.

It'll be like the 1984 election except this time Trump wins Minnesota! :P

If you watch a video of alex jones (jury will always be out on him on the whole, has some useful stuff in between his wild rants and endless proclamations of doom) interviewing some dude about bohemian grove, he gets absolutely p***ed off and damn near belts him saying he disrespected them all by breaching security and spreading information about their cremation of care ceremony where they all bow down to that screeching owl Moloch of whatever it's deemed, I found his reaction to the news that Jones was the one who infiltrated them quite interesting, he was severely upset. There's countless videos of people of importance getting extremely uncomfortable, refusing to comment and even legging it away from the interviewers whenever they're quizzed on the occurrences up at the grove.

Or, he and his alt right friends will shoot themselves in the foot - thereby shooting all America in the foot - thus getting the Democrats back in charge.
I honestly hope Trump will surprise me, and will make things work, but my head tells me that the right wing nuts who he's surrounded himself with will actually be running the show, which means minorities and gays will lose what gains they had previously made, and the corporations will get richer as the middle class vanishes, all while Trump spends his time tweeting as Rome... or in this case, America... burns.

They would not have fought so hard against Trump if he was a beholden man, Trump is independent of the special interest and his only interest is to make America great again.
