A snowballing effect is what is observed by scientists now, and it go faster that the most pessimistic predictions. It seem to me that you are the one disconnected of the science on those issues.

One big reason is that the warming will be happening too fast for the fauna and flora of the world to adapt. There can also be a snowballing effect, as a certain level of warming is likely to begin to release methane from under the tundra, an even stronger greenhouse gas which would cause accelerated warming. The higher levels of CO2 are killing our coral reefs due to ocean acidification

Yes this is a major impact on our great barrier reef off the north east coast of Australia. Despite the data on acidification and bleaching of coral our conservative government continues to peddle the myth that CO2 is not anthropogenic. As our conservative government continues to pander to fossil fuel industries our local fauna is having less food and this impacts on ecosystems both aquatic and terrestrial.

The polar bear population in Greenland and Canada is decimated due to reduced ice lowering the polar bear's natural food source. We now have a leader in the USA who is actively appointing climate skeptics and petroleum/coal beneficiaries into positions controlling climate policy in the USA. Selective ignorance.

There is a lot of pressure on coral reefs such as pollution. Warmer water is at most minor.

As for your claims of polar bears decimated due to warming, that's propaganda.

That's not from science, but from the propaganda of those who have their own agenda. We are seeing no such snowballing effect and there will be none.

The fact is that if there was such a snowball effect, the climate on this planet would have long ago be so far gone that this planet would be entirely uninhabitable, at least to life as we know it.

The only thing that makes sense is that there are, in nature, effects that auto correct for variations far from normal.

Acidification is due to increasing levels of carbonic acid (dissolved CO2) - less trees + more emissions = more gaseous carbon in the oceans

The percentage of the Earth that is forested is down slightly from a number of years ago, but that is due to increasing demands for farmland, not from any effects of Global Warming. I think that in the US, there is more area covered with trees, not less, than a century ago.

As far as emissions, the one that is growing wildly is China. Go try to convince them to cut back. The US has cut back emissions dramatically over the last three or four decades and will continue to reduce emissions over the next several decades.

Decimation of polar bears isn't just propaganda. As ice disappears, so does the bears' environment. Polar Bears have been migrating southward, where they have never been before, are attacking humans when scavenging through garbage, and creating never before seen hybrids by mating with brown bears that are said to be even more ferocious and savage animals.

It's nothing new. Polar bears have been doing that for years.

Polar bears raiding garbage dumps as well as other feeding on land.

Not nearly this far south or inland. I mean literally hundreds of miles away from their environment.

Yes there's a BBC documentary about how declining polar bear numbers following the end of the last ice age in Europe mean't stranded polar bears mated with Brown bears in Siberia. These hybrids migrated south toward the Himalayas terrorising local Sherpas giving rise to tales of "Yeti"

The amount of Global Warming forecast for this century is approximately enough to bring the average temperature of the world up to the same average temperature as in the warmest part of this interglacial period, the Holocene Climatic Optimum.

What was it like during the Holocene Climatic Optimum? It was hardly a disaster. In reality, it meant that mankind was finally able to settle down and begin farming. It was our ancestors first steps toward civilization. As long as mankind was a species of nomadic hunters, civilization was not possible. It was the warmer temperatures of the Holocene Climatic Optimum that permitted our ancestors to settle down and begin farming. Without those warmer temperatures, we would likely still be half starving nomads.

Most certainly! I saw an Animal Planet documentary on their Monster Week, about the Yeti, where this was talked about. In fact, a famous German mountain climber says he had seen such an animal first hand.

Well, considering that many European Cro-Magnons stood over six feet tall and were considered to have been very muscular, they weren't always starving.
Enjoy the global warming if you will, but don't come crying to me when you get eaten alive by a polar bear/brown bear Yeti hybrid!

Well I guess Trump and his administration are regressives....

Lets just eliminate research pointing to climate change, stop looking into/researching or increasing renewable energy and be 100% dependent on fossil fuels...hell why don't we just allow companies to just throw their waste in the rivers and encourage littering. Also we need to heavily discourage recycling, and convince everyone plastic is biodegradable and great for the environment....

I thought he wanted to make this country great...not turn into a backwards laughing stock of the world. Oh well we could be a leader in renewable energy and reducing negative human impact on the environment you know keep up with the rest of the western world, but why be smart we need to make this country trashy.
