I think that's the whole idea. Lack of division equals unity and I don't think the left wants anything resembling unity under Trump.

I think Trump's already accomplished that on his own.

Hopefully Obama can be locked up. Trump's probably too classy to do it though.

Sickening. She is one of several people getting confirmed due to donations. Pay-to-play/bribery is garbage.

Locked up? For what? Speaking his mind when he feels the jackhole in the White House is threatening fundamental American values?

If you haven't figured it out yet, we no longer have any rights. They were usurped by the government in 1968, when Nixon became president. But then again, what do I know? I just got marginalized by my brothers for spending half a day in the Psych ER this weekend, since I was having thoughts of killing people, then killing myself, no thanks to being verbally and mentally abused and gaslighted by that tall drink of water I used to hang with.

I'm clinging to reality, and it is a wild ride. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but it does feel surreal. I started watching Arrival, and had to stop because I started thinking that if the bad aliens wanted to pick a time to invade, they couldn't do better than this. True, plausible, and as expected it looks quite mad when I type it out. When I thought that I shouldn't post about it, in case they were watching, I shut off the movie. Come and take it, aliens!

Sharing opinions with people here is helping in an odd way; I'm finding threads of nice conversation, and also hearing just how far people will take their language. People haven't changed much since yesterday, or the day before, however I want to interpret that.

Back to the topic at hand, President Obama must have noticed that they cribbed his list. Choosing to speak out anyway seems like he takes this very seriously. To my mind, it's either that or really jumping the gun.

Wasn't it expected ahead of time Obama would be doing this, especially since he bought a home right down the street from the White House? And isn't it pretty much a given that everything the president does and anyone he appoints will automatically be protested 24/7/365 by a certain segment of society? Perhaps now is a good time to buy stock in the marker and posterboard industries.

He can but imagine what people would be saying if Trump had lost and not accepted the election results and called for unrest on the streets, he'd probably be put in Guantanamo. Obama and his administration should be held accountable for every crime they've committed, the Bush administration had the good sense to get out of the way and to respect the peaceful transfer of power but it is clear that Obama and his supporters don't believe that despite there arrogant assertions about Trump not respecting the results. Trump told Jason Chaffetz to investigate whatever he wants, I can think of a few people.

Again, Trump refuses to accept legitimate results that are in his favor. He won the election, but he can't stand people saying that it was not the biggest win ever.

What is the problem? Are alternative facts more addictive than heroin or something? I maintain that the purpose is to confuse as many people as possible and discredit as many sources as possible. He knows his base will believe anything he says, no matter how absurd and inconsistent. Anyone who disagrees with them will be fired or threatened.

President Obama might as well weigh in now as later. The response from some quarters had already been recorded.

No, it is the opposition that is not accepting the election results and are opposing democracy. An ex-president who won't go away better have a clean house, why do you think Bush has been so quiet? If Obama wants to break precedent then Trump should as well in holding him and his administration accountable for the laws they have broken.

As long as Bush officials also get prosecuted for their war crimes, deception, etc., I support that.

I don't see it as probable, though. For one thing, both of those two love secrecy. Neither one wants to risk more leaks that reveal the true nature of US foreign policy.

I'm content to let sleeping dogs lie but if criminals think they can stick around and undermine Trump's presidency then they have another thing coming, the precedent has been that the ex-president gets out of the way but also to not hold them accountable for laws broken during their time in office so if Obama wants to change that then he better not have committed any crimes worthy of presecution. We already know the Clinton's are in perilous legal waters, I suspect Obama as a Chicago politician to be just as dirty altho probably not as personally depraved.

If only everyone including Hillary had put this much energy into the campaign itself.

Exactly!

Trump is a sore winner plus always needs to be #1 in everything. This is why he can't accept the election results because he didn't win popular vote. Yes people can whine and complain "many illegals voted for Clinton" but until all proof is out there- it's all just a guessing game! He can't accept the fact his inauguration wasn't the best attended ever. Once again people are claiming "the pictures are fakes" but that's not the whole story. There is plenty of proof it wasn't best attended!

Trump loves to gaslight and has done it quite well. Many people refuse to believe mainstream media at all- so they go to alternative news and Trump for "facts". Trump's alternative facts are mainly lies, half truths and garbage. It's sickening.

Obama has every right to speak his mind. Does that mean he should be investigated? I don't think so. The current president and his scum needs to be investigated more. The coward still hasn't released his taxes like he promised he would! The excuses need to stop.

It would be awful if someone did something sarcastic like posting violin music.
