It WAS----he's AUSTRALIAN, and LOVES to put-down America / Americans; and, even though the rules CLEARLY say a user can't put-down an entire group of people, that doesn't apply, apparently, to non-Americans!!
Another one to watch-out for, is DarthMetaKnight, who is CANADIAN, and likes to say "we", "our", and "us", when talking-about Liberal Americans (or, Americans, in general) and REFUSES to accept that there is NO "we", "our", and "us". There's a couple more, on here, who are "shady", like that----I would suggest assuming, if they don't put an actual country in their profile, and are frequent NCE/PPR participants, that they're non-Americans.

Calling people sons of b*****s for exercising their first amendment rights just about sums up the Trump presidency. Cyberdad goes overboard sometimes, but this topic has the correct title. I even like the word footballers. B-ballers have the word ballers on lock down, except for bangers/busters/ballers

And, saying this to a howling, cheering audience - a " howling mob " - an audience that is, I feel safe in guessing, pretty overwhelmigly white? In a state which does have a pretty above-average black populaton, I, again, feel pretty safe in assuming (As with any Southern state.)? (Certainly blacker than Santa Cruz, I suppose I have to say or lay myself open to accusations!
Again, YES, legal on DT's part, I imagine, but...Should he say this in a crowdaddress situation?
I didn't realize this was a civil rights violation, how so?
I need translator, can anyone help me out here
Nope. I imagine most others are as confused as you (and I), are----that's why he rarely gets responses. His making a total mess of quotes----AND, putting them BELOW his response----is, IMO, enough to make a preacher cuss, ALONE!! Also, after he makes such a mess of things, and some poor soul TRIES to respond, to the best of their ability, he'll MAJORLY fuss at them, when they've misinterpreted what he's said, and it's HIS fault!!
He CAN do things "properly" (quotes and wording of responses)----and, I imagine that's another reason why people don't respond, often, to him (cuz they've noticed, as well, that he can, and they figure if he wants a response, he'll put more effort into it - but, he likes to play the victim).

I'm not buying it... This is not the same as not wanting to stand for our country in a public school. This is a PR nightmare and disrespectful to their fan base, who typically bleed football and country. I see it as a liability, where they should be fired and replaced for someone who will stand with their team and our country. After all, they are participating in a private event, while being employed by a corporation that solely depends on the revenue created by their fan base; even sponsors cares what the fans think.
If we can't unite and stand for our nation together, how can we make this a better place? I have a hard time getting behind anyone's cause if they can't respect our nation we live in together... They are free to leave and reside in another country if they would like.

It's about players refusing to stand for the national anthem, not about being black. If I were the team owner they'd get one warning and after that shitcanned. They are just doing it to get attention for themselves, not for any real or imagined cause.
These grasping at threads over Trump threads are becoming laughing stock for me.
Keep 'em coming.

Yep, like Ezra said: "The more frequent the desperate straw grasping, the less inclined the silent majority is going to believe stuff said against Trump."----and, I agree with both y'all!!
I TOTALLY support someone's right to exercise the First Amendment----BUT, I don't feel it's right when other people (their teammates / franchise, in this case) are "at risk", because of their actions.
@ SH90: THANKS!! (chuckle)

I tried to rebel in high school and sit for the anthem, but they yelled at me and I caved and stood up.Now I'd just smile nicely and keep sitting. Its my right to do so.I would never burn an American flag, but I support the right of people do do so if they choose.
I do see hypocrisy in folks from Austrlia going on about our race relations.Clean up your own act first before judging us.

As I said earlier, there is a difference in public school vs being employed by a private organization. This is not a freedom of speech issue, as our freedom of speech is limited when you are being employed and/or on private property. I can have someone removed from my property if I don't like what they are saying and I can fire someone if I think what they are saying or not doing creates a negative image for the company.

Maybe legally, morally it's wrong. But that's just my opinion. We wil just have to disagree over it.

I pay people to work and come up with solutions for problems if they arise... Not create problems for me, if someone is the root cause of a problem (more so on something that alienates the customer base). Then they gotta go, because they suck at being a employee.
Whatev....
Not to name names, but it's highly likely that someone could pretend to be non-American. To some, living in this [sarcasm] hellish, wage-slave, racist, sexist, Islamophobic, homophobic, jingoistic excuse of a nation where people die by the trillions every day from lack of free healthcare and it's citizens are allowed to run around with dangerous assault weapons, which would be banned in any civilized nation, mowing people down by the trillions every day, and elected a Nazi as a president [/sarcasm] is more than their minds can bear so they escape by pretending to be of another nationality and mentally distance themselves from it.
Just sayin...

That is sensible, obviously you wouldn't let some body wear an offensive symbol to work of they are exposed to the public. Then it would be up to the players to negotiate a clause in their contract where they could protest.
Not like I'm that invested in football,I never watch it.Soccer or Hockey for me on a rare occasion.

Only one eye roll?
They'd really hate it here then, don't you know we're the worst part of America? When you come of age you have to climb in a cage with a bobcat and fight it with an old timer pocket knife.

Only one eye roll?
Yes, only one.
Eyerollers should be used sparingly so as not to dull the sensation of belittlement and condescension they provide.
Don't you agree?
My Arkansas rite of passage consisted of having sunburn, chigger bites, and poison ivy all at the same time. Miserable as I was, I'd much rather have dealt with the bobcat.
Do some hill folk around there refer to cougars as painters?
Some in Appalachia do .
