How the hell is he a Nazi? Because of your own beliefs does it help to run around screaming "Nazi" at other people? He actually seems pretty smart. Not like he's an identitarian/SJW.

ummm no..the Australian media have labelled him a tennis Nazi because he voluntarily retweeted a white supremacist speech



No he's not very smart and seemed to be concerned enough about things he previously tweeted to delete then when he realised he was going to represent the US...hmmm lets see
i. the alt-right has some interesting ideas
ii. he supports the Pizzagate conspiracy theory which claimed Hillary Clinton was behind a paedophile ring operating out of a Washington DC pizza restaurant
iii. posted pictures of black tennis player Serena Williams with the caption "disgusting"
iv. if you accidentally stumble into a gay club your eyes will bleed

plenty of others that profile a man of low moral character to be representing his country. Bu you like these type of people don't you John...

One particular tweet that Sandgren hastily deleted was this one
"any day Serena loses is a good day".

His apparent disdain for his US teammate winning representing America smells decidedly suspect (almost...anti-American) given he will almost certainly play Davis cup or Hopman cup representing the US?

any guy who says he thinks that Serena is "disguting" needs to see a phuqing ophthalmologist IMHO.

It looks pretty unpatriotic to hope your team mates lose without any provocation. Serena is justified asking for an apology

The guy may well become a top 10 player but he has been "rodent like" in hastily deleting suspect tweets then turning around and calling people names for pointing this stuff out because he's a "christian"

I don't think so, this reminds me of champion greek long jumper Voula Papachristou who was a supporter of the right wing Golden dawn party in Greece. While her support wasn't so much an issue, she tweeted racist stuff about African refugees. When she was selected for the Olympics the Greek government had no choice but to ban her from representing Greece.

This is why i) Sandgren was rushing to delete his tweets then aggressively defending himself and ii) has put the US tennis federation in a sticky situation given it's a bad look to have a Nazi representing the US (of course there was also one in the whitehouse in Steve Bannon but he's served his purpose for Trump)

if he went into the well-deserved obscurity of pumping gas and mopping floors, I would not be upset.

Again I doubt it...he's probably the most talented male tennis player around in the US so he's likely going to keep his nose clean and concentrate on tennis and avoid media questions about his political views. Not unlike former Nazi Mark Wahlberg (the actor) who still hasn't apologised to the people he violently assaulted as a teenager

am reminded of lord acton, "...nearly all great men are bad men."

Am always reminded of the "soup nazi" in Seinfeld...a necessary evil
