Actually the Guggenheim has loaned a piece to the White House for every president going back to LBJ. What makes this different is that the Guggenheim generally selects a piece from it's collection to loan, this is the first time a specific piece was requested as far as I know. Either way it's a non issue.
If by non issue you mean hilarious form of resistance protest, then I concur, it's completely a non issue.
