People do not dislike Donald Trump for being a successful white man. The fact you even think this is hilarious, absurd and reductive. I'm not even American but I feel sorry for Americans of colour. All their hard work reduced to a ridiculous wall and a short video documenting their death.

Tbh I'm still confused as to how people put him in the white house.

A lot of women feel empowered by taking control of their sexuality, among them Lady Gaga.

While the intention is good the method is flawed. Sexual assault stems partly from a sense of women's bodies are seen as objects (called objectification) to be used.

Gaga objectifies herself so reinforces this perception in the eyes of men who objectify women

I gotta admit - - I've done more than my share of objectifying.

When did Eminem do that? I know he has some very explicit lyrics...but cannot recall him ever promoting/justifying rape. So not sure about that....he is one of the few rappers I like because there is some real stuff buried in there, whereas some just seem to want to romanticize 'thug culture' or whatever but he doesn't.

I think that is part of the problem, I mean in a lot of ways it seems more socially acceptable for males to express sexuality in public than females. So perhaps the point is women should be able to also express sexuality without being immediately harassed and having people trying to exploit them for it. Like if a woman wants to dress 'sexy' that doesn't mean she wants someone to assault her...it means she's trying to feel good about herself and look good. Sometimes guys act like all guys would be just fine with a woman coming on to them because it would be 'hot' well I think that is a distorted perspective. I've talked to plenty of guys who have been made uncomfortable by women coming on to them without consent. Its a hollywood idea that it's ok to just grope and touch people that's not real socially acceptable stuff.

Your argument that this is about race is false
Best Pop Solo Performance, Ed Sheeran (as white as they come) won, for a song – as enraged Twitter swiftly pointed out - about getting a woman drunk and taking her home to have sex with her.

The song with the most violent misogynistic message involved Eminem (a white rapper) which included lyrics about ‘urinating on Fergie’ and raping Conservative talk show host Ann Coulter ‘with a Klan poster, a lamp post, a door handle and a damn bolt cutter.’

Then of course there are the "white" female performers at the Grammys (Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus) Miley Cyrus album cover has her wearing a police hat and provocatively inserting a long baton into her mouth imitating oral sex. Lady Gaga appears naked and legs akimbo. Both imagery appealing to the objectification of women that misogynists like to see...

So nothing to do with race

Well figuratively speaking I think she should be f****d by a clan poster to, and just listened to the song, seems like it was figurative. I mean hell when I was a teen there was a phrase of 'I wouldn't f**k that with a 10 foot pole', no one intended to actually try to f**k someone against their will with a 10 foot pole it was just a way of saying they wouldn't want to deal with that person. I don't think Eminem is implying that anyone should be sexually assaulted...doesn't seem very likely.

I concur. No one should be harassed for dressing a certain way.

What a joke. The awards where a load of rich people make out they are for those discriminated against or allegedly discriminated against. Apparently they all support 'equality' for women, that's they gave awards to men who refer to women as "bit**es and h*'s". Also among the feminists in the audience was Big Sean who spoke about raping a woman with numerous objects. Then to top it all off, the bad smell that won't go away comes out. Hillary Clinton who bullied her husband's alleged rape victims and who once laughed and bragged about getting a guy's sentence reduced who beat and raped a 12 year old child.

These people are completely deluded and out of touch with reality.

I'm glad you are disgusted at the hypocrisy in the media but I feel the subject of your post is not on topic with the actual post itself.

Additionally I have to reply to your comment on Hillary Clinton who you claim "and bragged about getting a guy's sentence reduced who beat and raped a 12 year old child" as this is a distortion of the context of the situation, which happens to be a situation I am particularly knowledgeable on.

First off, I would like to say that I do believe the victim was raped, and I believe Hillary Clinton thought so as well. The trauma the victim experienced, not only due to the rape, but also, of coming forward, is not anything to be minimized.

Hillary Clinton, however, can't reasonably be vilified in this any more than any other public defender who may have taken the case, because It's the public defender's job to defend those accused of criminal offenses, and ensure their rights are not violated, the integrity of the justice system is not violated, and that the individual receive due process, and that is what she did.

Some background on the case.
1. Hillary Clinton was appointed as public defender to a man named Bruce Thomas Alfred Taylor who was accused of raping a 12 year old girl. The appointing judge was Judge Maupin Cummings, who appointed Clinton on the recommendation of prosecutor Mahlon Gibson.

2. Clinton did not want to take the case and attempted to be removed from it but was denied. This is substantiated by Gibson.

Concerning your claim that Clinton got the man's sentence reduced. This is not true.

Taylor had not been sentenced or even tried when Clinton took the case. Clinton managed to get a plea deal due to lack of evidence in which Taylor would plead guilty to a lesser charge. Plea deals cannot go forward unless prosecutors agree. Had the prosecutor not agreed to a plea deal, and Taylor had plead innocent, they would have no evidence to get a conviction at trial and he would walk free as an exonerated man.

The prosecutor had no evidence because the only material evidence....a patch of Taylor's underwear containing blood and semen, had been lost or destroyed by the forensics lab. Additionally, at the time, there was no DNA testing and the only thing the lab could conclude was the presence of semen and blood and the blood type, the latter which is not unique to individuals.

As a defense attorney, Clinton had a right to view the evidence, and requested as much, however the lab sent back the underwear with the portion containing most of the actual evidence missing. There was a small stain remaining, however, and she proceeded to have the underwear examined by a forensic blood expert, who determined that the remaining stain was not sufficient enough to test and nothing could be concluded.

The prosecutor agreed that they were unable to prosecute the case as a rape case, based on lack of evidence, and agreed to a plea deal in which Taylor would plead guilty to "unlawful fondling of a child under the age of 14"

On the recommendation of the prosecutor, the judge gave Taylor a 5 year prison sentence, with four years suspended. He was to serve the remaining year in the county jail and the judge gave him credit for the two months he had already spent there.

As for your claim that Clinton "laughed and bragged" about her accomplishment. That is not entirely correct. She gave an interview in the 1980s during which she talks about the case. She laughs a number of times in the interview..

1. After mentioning that she had Taylor took a polygraph, and he passed. She then says "which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs" during which time she laughs. 1:57 (it is that comment that leads me to believe she thought he had raped the girl).

It should be noted that shortly thereafter in the interview, Clinton states "But you know what was sad about it is that the prosecutors had evidence, among which was his underwear" and then goes on to the tell the story. So why is it sad? Because had they not lost the evidence, the charge would have remained rape, which she seems to think he was guilty of. He would have likely spent time in actual prison had the lab not erred.

2. When she is speaking about the prosecutor not wanting her to see the evidence, and she she had to go to the judge and tell him "yes indeed I had a right to see the evidence before it was presented" 2:48

3. When she is speaking of giving Taylor's underwear to the forensic blood expert and she says "And I pulled out my underpants and gave them to him" 4:32

4. When she is speaking of returning to the prosecutor and tells him "Well this guy's ready to come from New York to prevent this miscarriage of justice" 4:58

And it would have been a miscarriage of justice to prosecute someone for rape without evidence.

At the end, she does say "I got him off with time served in the county jail" but that's a factual statement that I don't see as bragging.

Here is the audio of the interview.

Audio of 1980s Hillary Clinton interview

If you wish to be upset with Hillary Clinton over this case, then I think the thing one can reasonably be upset with her about is perhaps her treatment of the victim, which the victim remembers as very harsh, though I don't know that any other defense attorney would have been any less so.

I personally don't have a problem with their art (either eminem or gaga). I am just saying the platform from where they perform their art makes it too complicated to mix this with women getting sexually harrased by the likes of Weinstein or Trump which is a totally different matter

Well context is important, Trumps comment about p**** grabbing for instance wasn't something he intended to have recorded and shown later....it just came out as being part of his typical behavior, just 'locker room' talk. It wasn't an exaggerated song lyric with a particular context it was just general stuff he says and potentially acts on. Artists in music commonly exaggerate things in lyrics for shock value and making people think, its not intended to be taken literally a lot of time. I mean if someone walked into a showing of Pink Floyds movie The Wall right at the part it shows facist/nazi esque stuff they might think the band supports that but with more context they would understand its actually criticizing that not supporting it. I think this could be a similar case here.

Your post title doesn't match your content

It appears it should be "misogynist awards" unless of course you resent black artists getting awards when there are white musicians (which is probably more likely)

I resent black artists getting awards when the place is virtue signalling about 'equal rights' for women and they have award winners referring to women as "b***h*s and h*s" and people in the crowd who have sung about raping women with numerous objects and referred to women as "rats". The reason i called it anti-white, is cause the whole thing seemed to be a protest at Trump for being a successful white guy and there was all that "oscarssowhite" crying the other year when the Grammys is basically just black artists. Also it us just full of R&B and Rap. Just celebrating sub culture. I think it is unfair on the majority of black people to promote this.

What you describe sounds more anti-women than anti-white. Also people aren't protesting Trump because he is a successful white guy, more because he is a terrible president who comes off has having plenty of racist sentiment himself and who's only solution for the economic problems has been more tax breaks for the wealthy...what has he done for the average middle class or below citizen?

It is both. They aren't doing it because "he is a terrible President", if that was the case they would have protested Obama but the same people didn't because Obama isn't white and is politically correct. Companies have given their employees a pay rise because of the tax breaks.

More straw.

I was saying I resented black artists for those things. Doesn't mean i don't resent the white ones too. The whote ones will get the awards if they do black gangsta music. Some of Sheeran's stuff is chavy. And duh, i posted the link woth those arguments in about Sheeran so of course i support it. With regards to race i was talking about the awards in general and style of music.
