Trump Voters Motivated By Fear Of Losing “White Dominance”
And while they will be a minority eventually, and while most are normal regular non violent people, there's a minority of whites who are supremacists to the nth degree and will be violent. There will be race wars fought on US soil, again. These types will not just disappear quietly. The feel compelled to fight to preserve their "purity," as well as dominance. Things will definitely get a whole lot nastier in the USA with regards to race relations as the population demographics shift. Wait and see. The USA is an incredibly race charged country compared to most others.
We have our own backwards areas of Canada that I fear will react similarly. The highest population of white pointy hats can be found in Alberta, and you can bet money those redneck cowboys are the most likely in the country to get violent just the same like Trump supporting white supremacists. Heck, many of them Are Trump supporters.
Do you mean the KKK exists in Canada? I know Alberta is full of what we Yanks call Rednecks, but that's still shocking to me if true.
Yes, the KKK exists in Canada.. it has for nearly a century, and it's presence is strongest in Alberta where all the rich white cowboy rednecks live.
Its shocking to me not because the idea of Canadian racists is shocking to me, but because of the origin and original reasons for the KKK--namely that whites in the post Civil War South wanted to preserve their social order by whatever means. How and why did this cancer spread so far from the Ole South is what I'd like to know.

More simplistic nonsense from some people here. The usual left-wing tropes that Republicans must be racist, despite the KKK being founded as an arm of the Democratic party. Did you know Bill Clinton's political mentor was an ardent Jim Crowe supporter? So, the Dems are Liberals apparently, despite being led by some incredibly shady people, meanwhile a New York Republican with a half-Jewish family is a white racist? Not sure how that works. Come on, don't be naive. Trump was elected because the other party picked a fairly disgusting example of humanity as a candidate, apparently solely because of her surname. Democrats switched en masse to Trump because he promised jobs, pay rises and wasn't Hilary. He's delivered on all three! Deal with it.

The Canadian/American border is just an imaginary line drawn on a map. Racist ideologies know no borders.

The Democratic and Republican US parties are now very different from the way they were in the 1860s. You would know this if you knew anything about US politics. Yes, the Dems were at one point the party of the Ole South, the KKK, the post Civil War "Solid South" and etc. That changed with the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s, and when it did old school Southern Dems like Jessie Helms and Strom Thrumond switched to the Republicans, who by then had strayed very far from their roots as the anti slavery party of Lincoln. Lincoln would be embarrassed and ashamed that Donald Trump and his supporters now call themselves Republicans.
Yeah, Hillary sucks as a human being, but shes still a far site better than the blustering Fool King Trump.

Except he hasn't delivered jobs any better than any other POTUS, even if as good. Watch his protectionist policies implode international trade and kill jobs, too.
Nor pay raises.. woo, 50 cents more on a paycheque combined with cuts to gov't services and increased taxes on anyone who works for a living over the long run of their tax plan designed to enrich the 1% further.
He's not Hillary, you're right, but that's a shame, too.

Nice that we agree on something.

Never know, we might agree on other things, too. Like which type of guys are most/least attractive. Or maybe not.

Back during the Civil War and Reconstruction, it was the Republicans who were the liberals, while southern Democrats were conservative. The two political parties remain, but their ideologies have radically changed.

No, not really. The Clintons hail from the old South. The racist past of that party still informs its policies. It just wants to use the non-white population to support it, after it lost the white vote. Hence the endless whining about Republican racism. It's a dog whistle to fool the gullible. It also helps take attention away from the endless corruption at the heart of the Dems.
Talking about Democrats is just meaningless whataboutism. Real progressives care about ideals, not stupid parties. We only vote for Democrats because if we don't you guys can always be counted on to put someone much worse in power. Sorry, in terms of actual policy, today's Republicans are the extremists. When the next recession hits the Republicans who constantly talk Ayn Rand nonsense will finally become irrelevant.

Republican voter suppression, support for racist groups like the Conservative Citizens Council (formerly the White Citizens Council), and racial gerrymandering is more than just a dog whistle to fool the gullible.
And endless corruption among Democrats? We're talking about the deep south here. Very hard to find politicians of either party that aren't corrupt in that part of the country. Thank the good Lord that he put me in the Pacific Northwest!

The Republicans were indeed the party of Lincoln and Douglas...back in the day. That day is past, and the conservative Confederate flag waving "Christian" white racists are all Republicans now. I put Christian in quotes because if any of them came to realize that Christ was in fact a dark skinned Jew their heads would probably explode.

I'm beginning to like you more every time you post something that makes such perfect sense.

I've also heard the hypothesis that the Apostle Paul was one of us, if you take my meaning (and I don't mean an Aspie). I think it makes sense in light of the 'thorn in his flesh' and 'continual sin' that he complained of in the Epistles. If he was a homosexual Jew, raised to view homosexuality as a sin, and then lived in the Ancient Roman Empire, where most Romans had no problem with it whatsoever, it must have been very hard for him.
