Don't delude yourself. Trump has little respect for democracy, as he's been an admirer of strongmen around the globe.

Which strongmen? Trump respects the will of the people more than British Parliament does.

Vladimir Putin, Kim Jon Un...Also if Trump respects the will of the people, he should step down.

The most interesting about all the idiot lefties demonstrating against the President of the US, was how they do not demonstrate when actual autocrats visit. The President of China for instance? Number of left-wing demonstrators when he visited? Zero. Are they outside the Iranian embassy demonstrating against the massive rights abuses there? No. They demonstrate because Trump is a big, brash American and therefore fits into their tiny little world view, which says, US bad, everyone not the US, good. Just sad. Doesn't matter if you lead a one party state (China), or a religious autocracy (Saudi Arabia). Doesn't matter how many people are killed by your secret police. If you're not a right-winger, your're OK by them.

Isn’t Trump half British? His mother was from Scotland. I wonder if he has dual citizenship.

No, I don't, that protest was noticeable for its lack of left-wing participants.

It would probably have been generally accepted that flying such a 'blimp' during the visit of a conventional, titular Head of State is inappropriate, but when the office in question is so politicized it's obviously more complicated. One has to wonder though whether the Mayor of London, a politician himself representing the Labour Party, would have been quite so ready to grant similar permission had the US President in question been Hillary Clinton.

He would have been falling at that evil killer's feet. There has been a proposed balloon of Khan with a pig mounting him. He wants the Tory MP who proposed it "dealt with". Suddenly his love for freedom of speech and expression has vanished.

Which strongmen? Putin, Duerte (that little sh*t in the Philippines), Erdagon, even Kim in North Korea who he use to ridicule.
When my country had been founded, the men who led the way, who were among the most intelligent men of their day, understood that an absolute democracy could be as dangerous as an authoritarian government. Sometimes charlatans and demagogues can and have whipped up national resentment and bigotry to use democracy to achieve nefarious ends. Sometimes the majority can be wrong. That's why the founding fathers of America established a constitutional republic with checks and balances to keep government on the straight and narrow. It hasn't always worked like it was supposed to, but it mostly has, and has kept the United States a stable free government.

Really? Really?

You mean someone you hate got elected so along comes the virtue signalling about the founding fathers? They'd have been ok with the millions being poured into Obama's campaign by corrupt banks and such? How free!! ! Hillary cheating and stealing the primaries from Sanders. Freeeeee! Bill Clinton giving pardons to evil murdering gangsters on his last day in office. Free! George Bush cheating in Florida. Freeeee

No, the founding fathers wouldn't have approved of a President beholden to ex KGB agents and mobsters turned Russian oligarchs for getting him elected, and now working on their behalf to bring down America. They would not have seen that as their vision of free government.
Freee!! !

Just no evidence for that though. The founding fathers would have believed in innocent until proven guilty.

They also would have recognized a growing mountain of evidence, and the circumstances surrounding that evidence.

Even if there was evidence, Trump supporters and apologists would never believe it unless Trump comes forward and says it himself. Even then, many will bemoan the deep state got to Trump and forced him by his life to lie to the people. That may sound extreme, but Trumpsters have given me no reason not to believe that wouldn't be the case.

Unfortunately, you are probably correct. :(

And yet Trump kisses Putin's ass every chance he gets, while he bashes the leaders of our long time allies like Germany, Britain, Canada, etc. He never criticizes Putin for human rights abuses, assassinations, suppression of the press, etc.
