Hey, the Brits voted for Brexit, thus making them the agents of their own chaos.

If you were here, you'd have been with us, not the Remanians. The pro-EU lot aren't free market, they're wishy-washy conservatives at best.

That said, I'd need to know more about your political positions. For me, leaving was a no-brainer.

Oh, I'm not condemning the decision. I'm just saying that if things go south, the Brits have no-one to blame but themselves.

Just like a certain country on this side of the pond who voted in a racist, sexist, hate-filled ignoramus as the leader of their government...

Not Brexit iself that’s currently causing chaos - rather, that Brexit is in limbo. It’s not being followed through with or stopped.

I’m guessing it’d be like the US has a presidential election, the outcome comes, but nothing happens and nobody knows if the newly elected President will ever take office.

Ah! Got it. Thanks.

Jones talks lots of bollocks - so what? There's plenty of bollock-talkers out there. He's amusing to me.

As for Trump - he is awesome. They don't like it, which makes me a very happy bunny.

So a baker shouldn't have to bake a gay cake, but a different private organization should be forced to host violent insane rhetoric in opposition to their stated universal policy?

They shouldn't be made to have him on the air, but you have to be careful because of Twitter's dominant position. The gay couple at the head of the Northern Irish case could have gone to another baker. Ashers are not in a dominant position in their home market - I think they have a few shops and that's about it. I can't remember having shops across NI.

Who's preventing Alex from going to a different platform? It's free enterprise, right? Corporations are people now, not government institutions. The market has spoken.

Oh the classic right-wing response: private institutions have the right to BE bigoted, they just don't have the right to STOP our bigotry. Thing is, right-wingers can't see that they are clearly contradicting themselves.

"Let private companies be FREE!"

"OK, private companies are FREE to fire people for being bigots and not host bigoted news sources."

"NO! You're encroaching on our FREE SPEECH!! !!"

Truth is - if it harms non white/straight/cis/non-immigrant/Christians, they love it. The second it calls them bigoted for thinking that way, then and only then does it become a problem. "Free" to the right-wing just means "free to be bigots in any and all ways."

Sorry, should have read:

"I can't remember them having shops across NI."

Ashers have nine shops across Northern Ireland, all in the Greater Belfast area.

I'm not Northern Irish though, I'm an Englishman who visited a few times.

The radio station is perfectly at liberty to kick them off their platform. If he can find hosting, he'll find somewhere to talk that will host him, even if he has to host it himself. He has a market, he'll be alright. That's not in dispute.

I'm concerned at the dominant position these companies hold though.

No contradiction in views. The radio station is perfectly at liberty to sack him, case closed.

HEY, everybody! I have a great idea!
<* I am not being at all serious here. *>
Why don't all of you who believe that Alex Jones is getting a raw deal pool your money together and buy him a brand new radio station, complete with his very own multi-terabyte server that he can use to archive all of his programs on his very own website!
<* Seriously, I think that his is a totally bogus idea... *>
Yeah ... and the next time somebody starts deconstructing his lies, Alex Jones can ban them, and everybody gets what they deserve!
<* ... so bogus that even his most ardent fans will denounce it. *>
Wouldn't that be wonderful?
<* ... not. *>

No, what I am basically saying is read between the lines.
