Yes, but he also came from humble working class origins. Nothing elite about him, save his smarts and his progressiveness.

Sorry but this if someone is from a family that's well off and they're an athlete, then they're probably a thug and rapist stereotype doesn't sit well.

As far as I know while there is plenty of evidence of rampent JFK cheating there is no allegations of him forcing himself upon women. Of course it is plausable it did happen as bieng a sex crime victim was considered a shameful secret at that time never mind the extreme negative consequences of reporting the President. But that is no reason to assume he was gulity.

Not every jock and athlete in high school or college are rapists, but most rapists in high school and college seem to belong to that tribe.

It seems to be more of a 80’s and 90’s stereotype or phenomenon.

In the early 70’s when I went to high school our teams really stunk and the jocks were held in low regard. In the mid to late 70s I went to a public state colleges not any type of elite or prep schools or big football schools. Fraternities were not popular until they were revived by the movie “Animal House”.

Back then guys rarely talked about girls personality or brains. It was thier body parts, what they would like to do to thier body parts and if they “put out”. Girls were in a lose lose situation. If they did not “put out” they were “frigid” if they did they were a “slut” or a “whore”. These attitides did not change through college and my early working years in the 80’s.

I never witnessed a rape or the type of sexual assaults Kavanaugh is accused of. Of course I was not a party animal but I did attend a few, “keg parties” were a regular occurrence in my dorms. The drinking age was 18. The most I saw was guys putting their hands on a girl who noticably did not want it. That was not considered sexual assault, everybody would laugh or joke with the guy because he was “rejected”. There was a lot of wishful thinking that no and resisting meant yes. Sexual assault was if the girl was beat up. Rape and beating up girls never had any type of acceptance. People were often drunk and stoned out of their minds. Holes punched in walls and doors being kicked in were a regular occurrences.

Guys often talked about how they “scored” and despite all the denials conversations like the Hollywood Access tape happened. Some if not a lot of it was macho postering, bragging about things that did not occur to avoid the dreaded “wimp” or “homo” type label. That said with the sexist and objectifying attitudes towered females commonly accepted combined with widespread abuse of alcohol and drugs it is more then plausable to me that rape and all sorts of sexual assaults were fairly common, how would they not be?

Personally I think Kavanaugh is great, he's showing that Republican males really aren't what you've been told. Who would have thought behind all that macho rhetoric they're really diary writers, calendar takers, and late 20's virginity losers that sob and cry on the stand under the first signs of pressure. John Wayne would be so very proud.

I couldn't care less about what's said about Kavanaugh, as in the usual erroneous conclusion some would likely come to that I'm defending him. However, the things you described as negative character traits, especially "late 20's virginity losers" can be said to a lot of autistic men.

So correlation rather than causation.

We never used the slang “boof”, “devils triangle”, or ———- Alumnus. I do not remember people writing stuff in yearbooks with sexual or gross out connotations. Something like good luck or most likely to do something positive is about as far as it went.

What I thought was funny was ... Democrats had the accusation for 45 days ... and did no investigation.

Yet, everyone Democrat kept asking him, "Do you think we need an investigation?"

Kavanaugh: "I'm open to all investigations".

Democrat: "Do you think we need an investigation?"
Democrat: "Do you think we need an investigation?"
Democrat: "Do you think we need an investigation?"

Kavanaugh answer, reanswered, reanswered, reanswered ...

Democrat: "But do you think we need an investigation?"

Something like that.

So at this point, both the American Bar Association and the Dean of Yale University's School of Law have *strongly* requested that an investigation into Kavanaugh's past behavior take place.

ABA had designated him "well qualified". Yale Law is where he took his degree.

It will be interesting if anyone petitions for him to be disbarred. A few people should have probable standing to do so at this point. *Edit in: not because of things he did before taking the degree. For the perjury.*

Yep, but most autistic men don't go around huffing and puffing their chest out and constantly trying to convince people they're the true paragons of masculinity, the men that do by and large, are Republican males. Stay focused on the topic at hand Ezra, this has nothing to do with autistics, any everything to do with a potential sex predator sitting on the Supreme Court.

Edit-- And if this didn't come through: I don't believe his calendar is authentic, nor do I believe his crocodile tears, nor do I believe he was a late life virgin. What I do believe is that he's felt 'entitled' to that post for a very long time, and he'll do anything to get it, even undercut his own Republican masculinity if necessary. Those are the qualities of a politician, not a judge.

What sparked my response the most was the word losers. But I realize now you meant losing virginity rather than referring to virgins as losers.
