Yeah, I thought of these explanations, too----but, I'm still not convinced. I feel if he was saying something in agreement with himself, most people, I think, would've said "It's true"----like, say, he did his boasting, and somebody laughed, he would've said "It's true", to defend his boasting; but, saying "so true" doesn't fit, IMO.
I think someone said something, and he responded.
And I still don't understand the "but that's okay"----cuz I thought the same as you----but, I'm thinking he might've meant "but that's okay that I didn't expect that reaction". I dunno..... I am so used to, now, NOT believing anything the MSM says----and I've listened to that part of his speech, several times----but, I would think Fox and Breitbart would be the LAST to "follow the leader" in a news story; but, yet, they didn't say anything different.You're acting as though Trump is normal. He isn't. He's acting narcissistic which is what many psychologists have diagnosed him as being. Someone who isn't that manner would respond in the way you're describing, whereas someone like Trump wouldn't. In his mind he likely twisted them laughing at him into them laughing with him, it doesn't make sense but neither does the way a narcissistic mind works.
