CIA has recording of MBS saying ‘silence Jamal Khashoggi’
Struggling to restore focus to this thread after the distracting troll attacks.
Senate Dem on Armed Services panel: Trump lying about CIA report on Khashoggi
Trump said Thursday that the CIA "did not come to a conclusion" about the crown prince's involvement in the murder.
"They have feelings certain ways, but they didn't -- I have the report," Trump said.
When asked if the President was lying about the CIA's conclusion, Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Jack Reed said, "Yes. The CIA concluded that the crown prince of Saudi Arabia was directly involved in the assassination of Khashoggi."
Khashoggi, a Saudi Arabian journalist and US resident, was killed in a Saudi consulate in Istanbul last month. He was a frequent critic of the Saudi Arabian government.
"They did it, as has been reported to the press, with high confidence, which is the highest level of accuracy that they will vouch for," Reed said. "It's based on facts, it's based on analysis. The notion that they didn't reach a conclusion is just unsubstantiated. The CIA has made that clear."
A senior US official and a source familiar with the matter told CNN that the CIA concluded last week that the crown prince personally ordered Khashoggi's killing. According to The Washington Post, which first reported on the CIA's assessment, US officials have high confidence in the report. The Saudi government has steadfastly denied the ruler was involved...
Thoughtbeast, did you see the above?
So many diversionary whataboutisms posted here and from the usual culprits.
Starting with John Powell's standard whining whatabout rant on Obama, then Magna's triggered whatabout other countries, inciting Powell to whatabout other countries, and on and on. Sad!
The topic here is the CIA recording of Mr Bone Saw saying "silence Jamal Khashoggi", concerning which you have had nothing to say.
Trolling at its most typical.
Just showing the hypocrisy as usual and I will continue to highlight the hypocrisy that means you don't have a leg to stand on and can't be taken seriously. You're not being rational or logical and are spamming and trolling the forum with your endless Trump threads.

I see your continuing cries of "whataboutisms" as diverting attention away from some very salient points certain members have made in this thread. How about it? Would you like to have a real logical conversation? Or just continue your crusade against your political adversary without an open mind?
No "salient points" have been made by those "certain members" in this thread. Diversionary whataboutist irrelevancies have been introduced into what could have been a "logical conversation" concerning the CIA's recording of Mr. Bone Saw saying "silence Jamal Khashoggi".
Gotcha. Discussing the history of the Saudi/American connection is not important in the least. Continue with your regularly scheduled agenda, then.
Don't even bother.... The thread has nothing to do with the jihadist journalist, it's about Trump as usual. An agenda as you say. If people were utterly silent about Saudi's slaughter in Yemen under Obama's watch then they don't have the right to say a word about Trump and cannot be taken seriously. They just crow about 'whataboutery' which is to divert the outrageous hypocrisy.

Nothing wrong with discussing Saudi/American relations, except for when it's used to divert the conversation out of sympathy for Trump.
I don't have any sympathy for Trump. It's just part of a larger conversation I believe needs to take place, just like analyzing how this country ended up with a demagogue like Trump in power needs to be discussed. It does us no good to isolate Trump as the sole evil that plaques our system. That's where I'm coming from.
This isn't just about American/Saudi relations, but about how Trump has it in for freedom of press. If Trump could have killed Accosta, I'm sure he would have. He has shown far more respect for totalitarian strongmen than he has for democratic institutions and other democratically elected leaders.

Accosta isn't a real journalist he's just a showboat who's looking for clickbait. He thought he could just take the show over and thought he was more important than all the other journalists.

I thought he was asking some relevant questions.
And even if everything you say about him is true, he's still protected by the constitution's protection of freedom of the press.

He's talking about the Russia hoax and language.
If be asking Trump why is the US still involved in so many countries and threatening others when he ran on peace. But CNN are warmongers so he wouldn't do that.

There's zero evidence he personally ordered it. Just like there's zero evidence that Putin personally ordered the hit on Skripal or that he personally ordered the Facebook ads in the US election. "High confidence" just means it's a crock. The CIA lies all the time. It's just a politically motivated ton of garbage against Trump.

Why do you have such love for Trump who isn't even your President?

What are you talking about? How is saying the charges against Trump are BS showing "love" for him? I've said numerous times that people should take him on for the real dodgy stuff he does. I said the birther stuff against Obama was tripe too, doesn't mean I love him. And you don't seem to mind people from other countries hating Trump.

Mueller's indictments and convictions of Trump lackeys says it's real.
