Is anyone else watching the Michael Cohen testimony?
Not that I LIKED Jeff Sessions.....but Sessions was loyal to Trump---and look where it got him!
We need a leader who can take advice from others without going off the deep end.
I can mostly agree with that. We need a president who isn't a crook, will we ever get that though? As I said before, it's scary to me, it seems like all we ever have is crooks to choose from, the political world is dirty, a you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours type of place. That's one of the reasons I don't even vote and haven't since I was a teenager. We need serious change to occur in how our politics and government operates. It should be set up more in a way that you can't have self gain, that's what attracts the corrupt to those positions, greed.
I've heard that most politicians start off with good intentions then latter learn the only way to get ahead in the political world is to become corrupt, else you will never get anything accomplished.
In general, that seems to be the way it goes in politics these days.
It would take a brave, strong person----and a person knowledgeable about the crap, but not willing to adhere to the crap--to change all this.
This is why many people rely on more local politicians/leaders---on a "grass roots level," so to speak--to effect real change.
Change almost always comes in increments.

While that is true, I had an inside look at it. My perspective doesn't insist that this is how all cities operate, but I don't know, kinda seems like a more common trend. I worked for a city, city employee. While you may get some decent people on the council, you also get individuals whom are looking out for self interest, pushing the city into doing things to aid their personal agenda, something that they will benefit from, like use resources to pave their road while the employees who actually maintain the roads claim we should pave a different road that actually needs it. Little things like that. Then nearly all the mayors were out for self gain and pushing their own agendas as well, constantly having to be put in check by the city clerk, which thank god she was a good person, many dirty things got achieved in that city int the past by a dirty city clerk who let the mayor and council members get away with doing things to benefit them rather than the city. This all took place in a very small town, so I would imagine it gets worse as you step up to bigger cities.
It reminds me of my experience of people in general, very few people can actually be fully trusted, while they mostly appear to be trustworthy. If given the opportunity, they will stab you in the back for very petty reasons. With people like that making up the majority, it's hard to envision good results and lines up perfectly with what we see in politics.

It would be a lot easier to avoid talking to you if you would not comment so frequently in my threads. I don't make threads very often so it shouldn't be difficult to avoid that in future. I'd like it to be possible to civilly avoid each other without any issues. Commenting a lot in my threads makes that a challenge. If you respect my wishes in this, this will be the last comment from me to you which I really think is for the best.

I can't deny that they are all crooks. If someone were to leak information detailing that everyone who was present during that hearing had committed multiple crimes, the only shocking thing would be that the American public was allowed to hear it.
Isaiah Cummings who's chairing the committee has had a commendable personal history, starting with his civil rights activism. AOC, and other newbies there so far seem to be free from being stained by DC.
Cummings is crooked, I watched him try to protect hillary also. He claimed repeatedly that it was wrong and a waste of time to look into hillary before, during and after the hillary hearing, being it was extremely obvious to anyone who watched that she was guilty of many wrong doings and lied under oath, yea, I would say Cummings is most definitely no innocent individual.
Protect Hilary? It was proven by more than one Republican investigation that there was nothing to protect her from! If you want a real smear campaign, look at how the Republicans tried to find dirt on Clinton that just wasn't there.
Yeah, you're probably right. That's why she lied under oath and tried to destroy evidence, because she had nothing to hide?? She only reason she got away with it is because Comey helped/protected her. He didn't let anybody else work on the case, everyone could easily see he is just as corrupt as her. I don't want to hear anymore about Trump if people can't even admit hillary is dirty. That's straight up just pickin a side to defend. Trump is a crook, hillary is a bigger crook.
Clinton was investigated over the Republicans Benghazi fetish multiple times, and there just isn't a "there" there.
The last investigation into emails? Even Trumps people are guilty of that in the current White House. It may have been a dumb move, but it was hardly criminal.
Clinton is more corrupt than Trump? Hard to beat Trumps record as a dirty businessman over the years. Then there's the whole matter of getting Putins help with the last Presidential election.
Comey in fact steered away from Trumps Russian connection for fear that he'd be accused of siding with Clinton, thereby getting Trump in the White House.
The Putin thing is a conspiracy theory, Trump and wiki leaks are not connected. Wiki leaks has released dirt on Trump also. What hillary did wasn't just carelessness, and it was illegal, just like lieing under oath is illegal, just like trying to destroy evidence when in an FBI investigation is illegal, crooked Comey already stated " that's not to suggest that anyone else who would have did similar things would not face criminal charges", translation, if anyone other than hillary did the same thing they would face criminal charges. IT's no different than suggesting she didn't mean to rob the bank, so it's ok.
And when Mueller proves collusion between Russia and team Trump, your side will call it fake evidence.

Please stop trying to get my threads locked, you've been called out already for this once recently by moderators for doing this. You need to find a better way to pass your time.

I mean a lock that you would request and have control over.

@Crimadella: I see a lot of mudslinging at Hillary for "breaking laws," and "lying under oath," but Zero evidence posted to back up your claims with any kind of evidence of either. What did she do and how can you prove it? Otherwise it's just tinfoil hat style BS because you don't like her, IMO.
@everyone else: This is a public forum. Who cares who posts in who's threads? If you don't like their posts, don't respond to them. If they break the forum rules and you care enough about it, report them. Other than that, just carry on.

Crimadella and I have agreed not to speak to each other and he's agreed not to post in the very few threads I make to make that easier to achieve, so there is no problem for anyone else and no need for you to comment about our agreement that has nothing to do with you. You and Ezra can keep sniping and snarking at each other all over my thread and the forum as you usually do, no one is stopping you from doing what you both obviously enjoy so much.

And what if I, and others, enjoy Crimadella's input to the conversation(s)?
Who the hell is anyone to say "You can't post in MY threads," on this PUBLIC forum?
Total BS, IMO. Just ignore whoever's posts you don't like. I think there's even a built in forum feature that allows you to not even display them, but I've never used it.

He and I already agreed not to talk to each other and for him not to post in my threads (and I should myself try to remember not to post in his threads as well, to be fair), so there's no reason for you to involve yourself in our agreement. You can easily talk to Crimadella in any other thread in the forum, including the several other threads on this topic as he himself mentioned earlier, if you want to continue the conversation with him. No one is stopping you from doing that.
You can't dictate what agreements I have with other commenters and who I speak to and who I don't--THAT is what is total BS.
Anyone can post in any thread they want , there are no restrictions .
If a personal agreement was made between posters they should really honour it , however this is not enforceable unless it's clear cut case of trolling.
