Won't happen. But if it ever did, the people who would be the impetus behind it would be the hardhearted gun rights activists who not only refuse to talk about regulations, but who even deny these massacres ever happened. People are genuinely sick of it, and will push back in disgust.

The media and politicians are using this to push gun control, so it is happening. If they couldn’t they wouldn’t even be talking about the suicides.
They immediately went to gun control. That’s all they care about they sit around waiting prepared for any chance to push it. They admit it won’t do anything good, so why do they want laws they say won’t help?
If a republican wanted to pass law banning blacks from inner cities to reduce crime then says the law will have zero effect, you’d be like wait there must be a alternative reason ie racism. When democrats do it their bases is like ignore that they say it won’t help let’s oush it let’s remove peoples freedom and rights screw liberty

I don't think democrats are trying to outright ban guns, at least I have not heard of any efforts in that regard through legislation or anything.

National news is national news. Regardless if there is some sort of gun control cabal in the media, this story is still going to get attention because of the initial story being so terrible.
I think inner city blacks, who are human beings, can't seriously be compared to inanimate objects like firearms.
