This sort of thing usually comes from Asia. They have a strange, yet apparently innocent, fascination with Nazi things.

That link is worth perusing for "Ronald McHitler" alone.

The skirt might have been a "well meaning but ret*d" anti Nazi statement that backfired (folks have done dumber things that were that offensively assbackward).

Or it might have been a pro Nazi statement. Cant tell which thing it is.

Might even have been some image randomly selected by a computer- a computer that just picks pics of historic places off the web to automatically stamp onto clothes. Maybe no human was even involved in the selection process.

And on top of that it is not even particularly recognizable AS being Auschwitz (as several above have pointed out).

Several levels of strange.

Unless you were a) familiar with architecture of Auschwitz b) paying attention to the skirt and not the girls legs and c) took time to process the ambiguity of the image then it's possible to decode the origin of the image. Of that small miniscule minority who process the origin of the image an even smaller percentage will bother giving a damn...

I suggest it's fairer to admit that the vast majority of people are actually ignorant or don't really care about the dignity of other people - unless that involves political peer pressure.
And the direction of history education and political pressure in each region are obviously different.

That brings to mind a few decades ago in another city where a friend who was deep in to US Civil War history did an experiment: he had a flag pole in his front yard and put up the Confederate national flag, the "stars and bars" flag, not the X shaped battle flag.

Several neighbors, including people of color, assumed it was the Texas state flag & asked how he liked Missouri after moving from Texas.

He wasn't from Texas, and the last time he had moved was about eight years earlier.

The confederate national flag had stars and stripes. And looked like a cross between the Lonestar flag, and the US Flag. More stars and stripes than the Lonestar flag, but fewer stars and strips than the American/Union flag of the same era (the texas flag represented one state, the Confederate 13 states, and the Union 30 plus states then). And for that very reason- the fact that it looked too much the flag of the enemy on the battlefield- they needed seperate "battle flag".

That would be a major feat of history geeksmanship. I doubt that even a one time civil war buff like me would recognize the National flag of the CSA as that if I saw if it in real life (not in a history book) flapping in the wind in someone's backyard. Its not a context that you expect to see it the way you do see the stars and bars on private property in the countryside even today. And it still doesnt have the striking distinct look that the stars and bars has.
