Arizona Withdraws Nike Incentives.
"Arizona Governor Doug Ducey is firing back at Nike Inc. after the shoe company said it was pulling Fourth of July sneakers from stores because they feature a “Betsy Ross Flag” that some view as offensive.

Ducey tweeted that he was “embarrassed” for Nike and said he had “ordered the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw all financial incentive dollars” that the state was planning to offer the company to open a manufacturing plant near Phoenix."

Actions have consequences.

Eventually the current American flag will be replaced by the rainbow flag, but then someone will decide that horizontal stripes are offensive.

Watch this space. There's no proposition so ridiculous it won't eventually be taken up as official dogma by the fringe left.

“Instead of celebrating American history the week of our nation’s independence, Nike has apparently decided that Betsy Ross is unworthy, and has bowed to the current onslaught of political correctness and historical revisionism. It is a shameful retreat for the company. American businesses should be proud of our country’s history, not abandoning it.

“Nike has made its decision, and now we’re making ours. I’ve ordered the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw all financial incentive dollars under their discretion that the State was providing for the company to locate here. Arizona’s economy is doing just fine without Nike. We don’t need to suck up to companies that consciously denigrate our nation’s history.

This is the way to deal with these lunatics --- hit their wallets. I, for one, boycott every company that endorses the cult of political correctness.

Another thing that has been hijacked by white nationalists and is getting banned is the ok hand symbol

High school reprints yearbooks after students seen flashing alleged racist signs

A Chicago high school will reprint its 2018-19 yearbooks at a cost of $53,794 after 18 photographs show students making a hand gesture associated with white nationalism, according to reports.

Students of ”various races, ethnicities, genders and grades” were seen flashing the upside-down “OK,” schools chief Joylynn Pruitt-Adams told parents, students and staff in an email Monday about the Oak Park and River Forest High School, according to the Chicago Sun-Times

When I used to go diving, the "ok" hand signal was used to indicate you were... ok. Couldn't use the "thumbs up" sign as that meant "go up... surface". So I can see why a coastguard might use it.
It is irrelevant, though... the political correctness thing is off the scale in craziness.

Probably...

I wouldn’t have thought that’d be a common thing to find in the UK, though. Do most people know what the Confederate flag is or looks like?

Cycling, as a white, middle-aged journalist, is also racist:

It means now you are considered a racist. In the ‘70’s a lot of people even in the north wore rebel bandannas, had confederate decals and so on. It meant that they were into southern rock bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd not that they wished the south had won the civil war. People wore British paraphernalia and flags at concerts by The Who. It did not mean they wanted America to become a British colony again.

*Anything* that has the American flag on it in Canada offends and disgusts me.

A couple of years ago when it was my country's 150th's birthday, I saw some stuff in a store like temporary tattoos and pinwheels in the shape of our flag, and it was clearly marked on the package that it was "Made in the USA" with the American flag next to it.

I'd rather buy something that was made in China. But at least it didn't say "Proudly made in the USA" like some of the garbage I've seen in Walmart. I think I'd be throwing up forever if I did. :eew:

Dukes of Hazzard was a very popular kids TV programme , I also pretty sure that there is a lot of Iron Maiden memorabilia featuring the confederate flag. There were also 'The South will Rise Again' T-shirts in alternative clothing shops - anything skull related was a winner with me

I'm a big Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. I bought a Confederate battle flag in Nashville, thinking it was cool. When I got to my brother's house in Indiana he said "keep it hidden".

It's amazing people don't see what's behind this. Get people in a state of mind where someone decides something displays racism or bigotry or is [fill in the blank]phobic or hate speech et al etc etc and ban it, tear it down, burn it and the response is f**k YEAH! They are pretty much literally welcoming a facist dystopian brave new world. One of the first steps in the process was conning these sheepeople into thinking they're the intellectuals of society.

That is because people only partially understand what Nazi Germany was like. Sure they know about the holocaust and WWII and all of the that. They don’t grasp that it was thought control via language control that cowed the people into supporting that evil government.

Some of the people agitating for all of this both on the SJW left and the alt right know exactly what they are doing. If you can make everything and every symbol once thought to be good and pure turned into evil there is no reason for belief in anything. That is a perfect climate for anarchy, street violence etc. In such confusion and pessimism people are vulnerable to somebody with easy answers be it socialism or law and order. Not necessarily because they are cultish followers but because people think this new person can’t be as bad as what we have.
