"They" could cause confusion because "they" usually refers to more than one

It's just better to get rid of "he" and "she" in English.

Because it's blatant when someone goes around saying "he" this and "she" that and all of a sudden "they."

It's clear that the "they" is not cisgender (or the speaker thinks so)

Sadly, this they topic just reminds of how many people here use 'they' when they should use 'them'. It's pathetic.

"They" is the subject, and "them" is the object of the sentence.

As in "Thet....should kick them in the ass!" One group of folks should do X to another group of folks.

I don't see WP folks saying things like "They should kick they in the ass". So I don't see how folks are using the words wrong here. Could you elaborate?
