I saw that USA is the highest with the coronavirus, over 15,000 :(

That is because the US is doing extensive testing. 15,000 looks like a big number, but there were 35,000,000 cases of the flu virus in the US last year.

Dear Ezra S,
Please do not wish that;
It appears that surviving this disease does not confer/develop immunity.
We are being told that a number of people have recovered completely, then caught it a second time, due to contact contagion.
I do not want anyone on WP to contract this.
Actually, I want it OVER.

even if you can catch it a second time, it'd likely be a milder experience than the first time because your body would have at least developed partial immunity

Or you'd get worse the second time than the first if the first time has weakened your lungs.

i wonder if the S and L variants are the cause of some people seeming to catch it twice?

You're welcome. I don't do it to try diminishing the seriousness of the virus. I am taking it very seriously when it comes to precautions. I mostly have been comparing numbers to put my ever simmering anxiety at ease. To see that it's far from something for me to panic over so far.

Israeli experts believe that there is a possibility that immunity diminishes over time as it did with Sars.On news today.

Immunity to regular flu diminishes over time, too.

Recovered people are being asked to give plasma.

If you’re in Missouri, it’s 1,031 cases and 13 deaths.

In Kansas, it’s 368 cases and 8 deaths.

No state except NY State has even close to 1,000 deaths. NYC will probably reach 1,000 deaths today.

whatever happens, it is already a given that this year, in the words of the queen, has already turned out to be an "annus horribilis."
