Thanks for the advice. I watched a tutorial and I just might make these.

Sorry you are right....it was actually melted cheese

There was a fondue craze back in the 1970s and I recall my parents thought it was fashionable to dip things like fried bananas and strawberries in a cheese soup

I remember tv ads for them.They made it look like if you had one there would be an instant party.
Maybe they faded out from clumsy kids knocking them over.Now that would be a mess to clean up.
