WHO's handling of coronavirus one of 'the greatest scandals in modern history'.

China and the World Health Organisation's failure to act when the novel coronavirus COVID-19 was still in its early stages is one of the "greatest scandals in modern human history", according to Sky News Digital editor Jack Houghton.

China’s deadly coronavirus coverup in the early days of the crisis more than doubled the number of people now infected across the world according to a recent study.

The findings were contained in a damning University of Southampton report which found if the Chinese Communist Party and the World Health Organisation had heeded warnings a single week earlier infection could have been reduced by 66 per cent.

If the WHO had acted just three weeks earlier nearly 95 per cent of today’s infections and deaths would not have happened.

Watching people argue against their own interests is insulting for everyone.

Let me put it to you in no uncertain terms, we can stay on our collective asses & blame shift until the global economy dies or get off said asses, do some good work & that won't happen.

I don't care who you want to blame, excuse me but does that imply you have some kind of better plan?

Fat lot of good blame does for you in the ICU.

Good luck fools. Get a job, Yankees & get off my lawn, nihilists.

WHO and China have failed the world
Rita Panahi, Herald Sun

The Chinese regime has through its ineptitude, dishonesty and recklessness, unleashed a virus that will leave tens of thousands dead and likely cause a global recession.

And, let's get one thing straight...you would have to be a certifiable moron to see criticism of the Chinese government or acknowledgement of the origins of this virus as “racist”. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/blogs/rita ... 071ca0a523

Soundalike comments about a cult ironically sound like they are being recited by cultists.

Well I hope these two 'cults' go to war soon so they can hurry up and bring this useless empire down.

This thread is full of comments that benefit no one. If we're to stand together against the common enemy (corona virus) then we need stop apportioning blame one way or the other, admit they all made mistakes from WHO to Trump, and move on.

This unseen enemy doesn't care what your political ideology is, but attacks whoever it can reach with its microscopic tentacles...

^ Agreed: they were all caught napping, and are now starting to squabble like toddlers over who’s fault this was.

Predictable and unhelpful.

Probably best to ignore their infantile whingeing and just carry on doing what we can to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe. :D

The world has to learn from the mistakes made, surely, so it doesn't happen again.
Even Australia believes things must change in the W.H.O.
Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenburg are astounded at W.H.O.'s backing of the wet markets reopening in china, and are saying the same thing.

There are people responsible for the situation we are in.
And it has been established who they are, to my satisfaction.

So, are you saying we aren't allowed to voice an opinion on the subject?
Are you saying we aren't allowed to discuss it at all?
Or is it simply a case of you having a problem with the way things are expressed?

Could you give further guidance?
If you are not comfortable discussing it in public, would you prefer we take it to PM?

I wasn't squabbling.
As always, I had cogent arguments. 8)

I meant our many and varied politicians, assorted international institution heads and media presenters in general.
