I’m glad you’re not an idiot, Sly, like people who fight over some parking spot in a mall.

We have to try to chill out, and not get upset over little things.

BS. Being a real man involves you not getting into stupid situations.

A real man doesn’t get into fights over stupid things.

What would happen if you had a wife and kids, and got arrested for a fight over a parking spot, and that got you fired from your job? Would your wife and kids feel like you’re a “real man” if you can’t avoid losing jobs over stupid fights?

The funny thing is the girl who stole the parking causally walked away like nothing happened leaving the guard and my old dad having a fight. The guard verbally threatened an 80 yr old with his hand on his holster. Not his finest hour.

If you are wondering what triggered his reaction the girl reversed some 10-15 mtrs really quick and stole the spot in a racecar manoeuvre. Parking etiquette says the person waiting first with their front toward the spot reserves the spot.

I think after the altercation my parents were shaken by the guard's aggression and they went home but I do agree it was not worth screaming blue murder at the girl (who could;not care less) and the guard thought he was helping a damsel in distress (although she was according to my mother smirking).

Etiquette isn’t law and most people don’t care about etiquette or morals.
When I drove people stole my spot all the time, and that doesn’t get into road rage I’ve seen. I try to avoid conflict and arguments can lead to deadly conflict with wrong person.
Someone who honks at me to to run over a guy in wheel chair in the cross walk would likely try to fight if I’d said or did anything in response.

A real man would fight another man for yelling at his wife and kids.
Probably why that one woman didn’t want to date anymore cause I didn’t fight thst homless woman who yelled at us.

The most sissified man is one who fights a woman when not defending himself from a physical attack by that woman.

The homeless woman probably had mental problems. It’s not worth it to get into a fight with such a person, and risk arrest and the scorn of the other prisoners because you fought an old woman.

Yeah I also avoid conflict in carparks for that very reason.

My dad has a temper, I think the girl's reaction of nonchalantly ignoring him smirking and rolling her eyes was partly because she felt safe with the mall cop giving her attention. Her reaction set him off but he probably was not aware of his surroundings or the circumstance partly because of his age.

Most people I encounter, even poor people, believe strongly in etiquette and morals.

It’s quite possible the poor people have MORE morals than many of the relatively wealthy people I know.

^ I agree. Many of the people I know, who have little in the way of money, are committed to moral or religious values.
