They are right. Trump wasn't the worst choice but many people are really naive. But compared to Germany are the taxes in the USA still very low. Could be that Biden & Co. are able to change this for helping the most rich ones who paid a lot for his election. :mrgreen:

It's not over until Biden is inaugurated on Jan. 20.

In the meantime, there will be lawsuits from Trump, and probably worse from his more fanatical followers. Hopefully there aren't enough fanatical Trump loyalists in the military to attempt an outright military coup.

Alas there are an awful lot of people out there who believe that the defeat of Trump is the worst thing in the world. See Trumpists Interviewed, It's REALLY BAD.

Luckily Trump has pissed off a significant fraction of the military with his remarks about them being suckers and losers, among other issues.

I'm going to be really disappointed if there's just an ordinary transition of power, considering all the 'crazy things Trump will do after he loses' predictions.

Despite the examples of cynicism expressed here on this thread, I couldn't help but be swept up by Biden's and Kamalah's speeches this evening. Sure, there is an outpouring of joy for Biden in part because Trump was such a terrible President, but Biden also knew how to carry the moment with his speech in which he called for a new start and reconciliation with supporters of the other side.

Me too. My husband, who has never in the past given a fig for elections, watched too. My former foster daughter, who identifies as black, but is half Hispanic, is thrilled with Kamala and I am too. It’s a great day for women and for black women. And her first comment, watching the crowd, “So much diversity!”

Yes, the next 74 days will be tense, the possibilities of things that could happen are terrifying. Biden took the right tone.

It is doubtful that he actually saw it, but it would be interesting to see his reaction to it. He had such a habit of using that word to describe others, so it does seem fitting that it is now used this way to describe him.

It would not be surprising at all if Pumpkinhead will continue to be in denial after Biden and Harris
are both inaugurated on January 20th, 2021.

So weren't you harping on that they can't start till Jan 21st and Trump is still the president? just how are we supposed to focus on a "new administration" that can't get in the whitehouse because the loser has still barricaded himself in.
