Is is not remarkable that a man of intelligence, class, and courtesy was able to maintain a successful career in American show business?
Was it Shakespeare who said ‘We shall not see his like again’?
Rest In Peace, Mr. Trebek; you were truly a gentleman.

He was like a fine wine, improving with age and with a great finish.

They already have Ken Jennings on the Jeopardy! staff, so it would not seem unreasonable to put the show on a short hiatus, and then return with Mr. Jennings as the host.

Why not Will Ferrell? He's already hosted Jeopardy. 8)

Trebek died only a week after Sean Connery. Now they’re playing Celebrity Jeopardy in the second life.

the only affable celeb i can think of outside of ken jennings, who is all-round smart enough to be a suitable replacement for alex, at least in the short term, is pat sajak, who on april fools' day did sub for alex [while alex subbed for pat on "wheel of fortune"].

Trebek only died after he realized Sean Connery was alone with his mother.

strange coincidence that alex trebek and art fleming [previous "Jeopardy!" host from '64-'75] both passed from the same illness.

Mr. Reading Rainbow himself is being considered as Trebek’s successor.

Good question.

if it can beat ken jennings and gary kasparov, then it is time to make this new version of Jeopardy! truly a 21st century thing.
