Jail Time for YouTubers and Twitch Streamers; DMCA Bill
This won't stop content piracy. Most if not all piracy does not operate within the U.S. This bill is just another big fat American boot stomping on the necks of American citizens. But hey, you get $600!! ! Don't spend it all in one place.

Google is also getting rid of Google Music and saying go with youtube music except youtube wants your money to listen to your songs. Google Play didn't make you pay to have you listen to your songs, you only bought the song once and you stored it in google music to listen to it for free any time. Now people will go back to pirating music now because they don't want to pay a fee to have to listen to their bought songs. We don't pay to play our CDs in our car or stereo or on our computer unless you count electricity.
I have always thought of music streaming as a bit of a scam. Sure, it is a cheaper way to access music, but then you have to pay them monthly. Most of my music is 20+ years old, so it is not a top priority for me to get the newest hot songs. I go to thrift store and estate sales to buy the actual music cds cheap and listen to them. Since I own the physical copy, there is no monthly fee that I need to pay someone to listen to my music. I have told this to my students and they think I am crazy to not just pay a music streaming service. If their service goes away, so does their music. I will still have my songs to listen to.
