I believe the rules are here to not make personals attacks on other users here. Unless that Karen is a member here, it is not breaking the rules here.

Sorry does this mean "NY Karen" is a member of WP? I don't have ESP so could not possibly know this.

Somebody stitched me up in Dec and got me banned for similar reasons.

Yes I was. I am not even sure mentioning that it was a misunderstanding would warrant me getting banned again? So much for getting appreciation for 10 years of trying to help people on WP (great reward) but then again I don't have high expectations of anyone these days.

ESP = extra sensory perception

It's this type of confusion that leads to unnecessary punitive measures.

It's not. If you are confused, just ask one of the mods and have them clarify.

If you are referring to the previous incident in December then I tried to have a civil discussion with the mod in question that I was relaying what I heard from another user but received no reply. Instead I was subsequently blocked (without warning) and received a message from Alex saying I had breached WP rules.

Getting the ban wasn't so much the problem, the way it was handled seemed impersonal and harsh, especially since I know the mod in question for almost a decade. I guess empathy really is a challenge for some autistic people.

The problem for Alex is he's the one they may sue for defamation if members are permitted to make defamatory comments.

So, I remember mods saying personal attacks are not allowed.

If you look at real news site, you will see they use the words like "alleged", so they don't get sued.

No, I am referring to the Karen in this thread here. Not sure why you think im talking about the other incident. We're talking about this Karen here.

My understanding is that WP is a platform, not a publisher, so I can't see Alex having a problem with something like that.

No, I am referring to the Karen in this thread here. Not sure why you think im talking about the other incident. We're talking about this Karen here.


Back to the thread...seems like an open and shut case, even the mayor De Blasio thinks so.
