How do you know?
*Anyone* who is critical of the see see pee is a state enemy.
Screening algorithms are not sentient and will report where they see criticism.
I'd rather a human didn't look at these screenings.

Question.
Why do you have a problem with me being cautious if it gives me a modicum of peace of mind?
You are being irrational, even if you do think I am being irrational.
Please respect my concerns.

Hence, he has no direct experience with the alleged "spying".

I have explained my position already above.
If you don't wish to respect my concerns, that is your business. 8)

But the problem is that...he THINKS that he IS experiencing it. Apparently.

Point out where I *think* I am being spied on by the see see pee.
I have said I have concerns, due to suspicious activity a few months ago.
I have said that I want to *mitigate* the possibility.

It is amazing how you are misrepresenting me, but I am used to this sort of thing.
It happens all the time to me. 8)

Cut and paste where I said I have concluded the see see pee is spying on me.
I'd be interested if I made such a silly mistake and will correct it.

If you can't cut and pastes your evidence, then I must conclude you have imagined it, or you have jumped to conclusions.
I'm waiting. 8)

naturalplastic wrote:
My point is that whatever those strange things were, they are just meaningless coincidences, and that Pepe is just not as important to Beijing as Pepe seems to think that he is.

I am 'happy' you are gaining mirth at my discomfort, as a result of my gang-stalking experience in the past.
I hope most people can see that your behaviour is not appropriate.

However, I can honestly say your behaviour is having no emotional effect on me, as a result of a mountain of bad behaviour directed at me from people, in the past. ;)

Was it Nietzsche who said: "What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger"?

Unless you're some kind of VIP in Australian government, industry, or media, I doubt that Beijing would find you interesting enough to spy on.

And if one *did* belong to a category worthy of espionage efforts by the Chinese government, then simply swapping the word "China" for a similar-sounding alternative when posting on a message board is unlikely to deter anyone with even the slightest intelligence gathering skills.

For instance, the OP of this thread includes the words: Uighur, Xinjiang, freedom, democracy, Hong Kong, surveillance, harassment and coercion. It would be much easier for an algorithm to identify red flags based on a combination of these words than on the single general word "China" which could pop up in millions of different circumstances.

And you think I don't know this?
As I said, I am interested in mitigating attention.
Never-the-less, I will continue to codify my wording where I think it prudent.

Call it being over cautious.
Call it wishful thinking.
Call it being aspie stubborn. 8)

GGPViper wrote:
Having identified the OP based on these words, they could then review the person's posting history to find personal information about age, gender, education, occupation, residency etc, exploit 0-day vulnerabilities in the website's cryptographic hash function to get the person's password and email, use the additional profile information to identify the person's online shopping habits, acquire the person's physical address from online orders, satellite image the person's home to establish daily activity patterns, Install remote cameras and or keyloggers to acquire the password to the person's personal computer, copy that person's browser history to get compromising information to use for leverage, rummage through that person's trash to get the person's DNA and frame the person for the murders of JFK and Jesus.

I'd be more worried about the oncoming necktie and pillow genocide, though...

So presumably, because you think I am being paranoid, you are feeding my paranoia with thoughts of my being one of the victims of an "oncoming necktie and pillow genocide"?

Charming.

BTW, why the clusterfrack on me?

So the element of doubt has crept in. You know what they say about the word ASSUME.

"Never ASSUME, because when you ASSUME, you make an ASS of U and ME.

A fascinating pile-on by the others.
At least you are here to witness the event. ;)

I understand the CCP Chinese spying story but I'm afraid it's an old one and is hardly news.

Ever since Chinese students, expats and tourists have been allowed to enter Australia from the 1980s the Australian government has known the CCP send spies to keep an eye.

It's hardly earth shattering news they are monitoring (unlike when Putin sent Russian spies to poison one of their expats in the UK which is news).

I posted this because I was being accused of being racist in another thread.
I'm sure I said that already.

A five year-old would understand that "see see pee" means CCP, and surely any algorithm designed to sniff these things out would already be well aware of that too.
Honestly, you'd be better off using a random word each time - but that would make conversation a little difficult...

Insult noted.

I feel comfortable doing what I am doing. 8)

Insult? Oh please.
I was pointing out the bleedin' obvious with that technique and how you might make it less transparent.

I'm reasonably certain that Ninjas are a Japanese invention...

... but perhaps that's what China *wants* us to believe!

Chinese ninja stalkers armed with neckties and pillows undercover in Australia ... they ought to make a movie about this...

Absolutely!

Maybe the movie could be financed by a partnership between the American NRA, and the goverment of Iran, because it would be a "message movie", that would show how "guns, AND nukes dont kill people. People kill people".

I bet there’s already a porno like this out there.

Since you haven't supplied 'evidence', you must have imagined it, jumped to conclusions or are simply being disrespectful.
I gather this gives me licence to return the favour, assuming we have an even playing field, now?
