Yes there's two kinds

There a gaytime on a stick and a cone.

The cone is a called a unicorn or unicone.

I love Golden Gaytimes! The roughness of the coating is awesome.
Why mess with a name that everyone knows?
Big business should tell the nancies to sod off and get a life.
Other things that are/were honest to goodness Aussie products have also suffered the same meddling.
Coon cheese, Eskimo Pie, Chicos, Redskins. The hand wringing lefty sooks like to destroy everything they touch.

I hope the manufacturers that pander to the demands of idiots pay for their folly.

Can't we just deport racists and keep the cheese?

I can't understand what was wrong with Eskimo Pies, did anyone ask the Inuit people what they thought about it?

My gripe is they get rid of the whole product....why not rebrand it as an icecream sandwich?

I am still waiting for coke to bring back their blue coke

For some reason that was taken off the market

I never knew coke was blue, not sure how that would go with Jim Beam 8O

I used to like it when Big M had blue Heaven but they took that off the market.

I used to enjoy two different varieties of Gaytime ice-creams in Aus, iceblocks(as they were called). Now, if only they’d bring back the Jellytip ... that was always my favourite. I was chatting to old school friends on FB last year and they tell me, they travel over to New Zealand just to bring them back in bulk. Turns out the Jellytip is now also available in England as a chocolate block from the Sanza online store under NZ.

I remember when a friend who lived in Australia told me that they had an ice cream called "Golden Gaytime" I thought she was messing with me. Like, I got the connotation of "happiness" instead of homosexuality, but the fact they still have something with "Gay" in it confused my American brain.

If we had something called "Golden Gaytime" I could see certain subsets of people getting upset the moment the meaning of "gay" overwhelmingly changed to mean being homosexual, since they wouldn't want the poor children seeing something with "gay" on it and turning "gay".

A number of iconic brands of lollies/sweets have been taken off the market here in Australia by the parent companies

Wrigleys/Allens - Redskins (I used to eat these)
Allens - Chicos
Riveiras - Fags (I used to eat these)
Coles - Creole chocolate creams (choc biscuit with cream)

This might get removed but the following was the most popular brand of licorice in Australia until the 1960s

Redskins and Chico Babies are still being sold in England via the Sanza online store. I put together showbags for my family on their birthdays here for the nostalgia. They had to completely do away with my favourite childhood biscuit due to the name ... The Chiko Roll is still a favourite ...

I’m told White Knights should also face a banning! Apparently they should be known as an “Inclusive Day Bar” :!: We used to have Boris the Black Knight ... He too is surely banned by now ...

I used to absolutely love Nigroids. They changed the name to Vigroids and now they seem to have disappeared all together. Never heard of Golden Gaytimes before but I'm glad they kept the name.

When we were learning about "West Side Story" in music lessons at school we all found the line "I feel pretty and witty and gay" hilarious.
