If that story is true, I hope Amazon pays dearly. But that probably won't happen.

There's also the candle factory in Kentucky, but no, I don't imagine justice will ever be delivered in either case.

^Profits before safety. They knew how volatile this storm system was and they could have shutdown for the night. Disgusting!

They knew better. Those big warehouse type buildings are not safe during a tornado.
https://www.joplinglobe.com/news/lawsui ... 963f4.html

Walmart also tries to keep everyone inside.I was in one a few years back when everyone’s phones went off and there was a tornado on the ground west of town.I left to get in my car and an employee followed me out and said it was a code black and I should go back inside.I said no thanks ,left and headed for an underground parking garage.I got to go through every red light in town since no one was on the road.Nothing happened ,but I figured it would be safer in a ditch than a store with all that stuff whirling around and a roof with little support.
Been through two small tornados, those were bad enough.
First was on an Easter Sunday when I was a kid.Trashed the house next door and many on the street.Took the roofs right off but left magazines sitting on the coffee tables. The last one a few years back.It set down right across the valley from me.The sound was unreal, like there was screaming in the wind.Catahoula dog ran outside to bark at it and I went inside and prepared to go airborne.Luckily no damage at my place but it took out the new Buddhist temple, two historic barns, a church and the post office.

There is a good reason why the entire state of Kansas is considered to be in Tornado Alley. We can have a squall pop up out of nowhere in the springtime that starts these things. This one hit back in 2007 (not near my hometown):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greensburg,_Kansas. (Scroll down to see the pictures)

I visited Greensburg as a teenager and remember the old 1800s storefront buildings on Main Street that are all gone now. That town was a mess to say the least. F5 hit directly on the town of 700. 95% destruction to buildings/houses, yet only eleven deaths because they were well prepared on what to do. It has been completely rebuilt now as a energy efficient city.

And of course, Alex Jones has to weigh in for the incurably insane:

I wonder how long until he ends up having to pay out some more money for those comments. 8)

I hope this leaves that scare monger destitute, if indeed he's taken to court in the same way that the parents of Sandy hook had.
