There's an Irish pub across the street, but I'm not a pub person. Their menu looks appealing; Bangers & Mash, Colcannon, Harp Battered Fish & Chips, Traditional Irish Shepherds’ Pie, Guinness Braised Beef Stew. It's expensive though.

My brother-in-law is Irish. Irish pub food is basically anything in your fridge deep fried and battered

But of course Shepard's pie and bangers/mash has made it's way to the Emerald Isle.

A grocery store I shop at has home-style Shepperd's pies. Basically hamburger stew covered with mash potatoes. Bangers and mash seems quite easy to make at home.

A pasty is an English empanada. This thread is making me hungry and it's dinner time.

Proper traditional pasty on a quiet English beach in the summer. That is my heaven.
