Oh, as far as I know he was a pretty clean living dude, it's more that his comedy was infamously raunchy, which was always a hilarious contrast to his straight laced acting roles on TV. If you've never seen it, you can get a small taste of it in the movie The Aristocrats, where he tells a particularly gratuitous version of a joke that already hinges on just how filthy the teller can make it. I've always heard that it was actually Rodney Dangerfield who had the wild lifestyle right up until the end, right down to smuggling drugs and call girls into his hospital room after one of his many heart attacks, lol.

So, if I bump my head, I'm supposed to call 911 and write my will?! How hard a bump is serious? Are there any warning signs. This is surprising information.

There's bump, then there's serious head trauma.

Yeah, seems it wasn't just one bump but multiple fractures and bleeding.

In Saget's case?

I wonder if his family's conclusion that he "thought nothing of it", was a result of his brain injury impeding his ability to assess the severity of his injury. I've heard of people with severe brain trauma not realizing they've been injured, because they’re unable to think clearly.

Could be the reason, I've had concussions and was very belligerent or argumentive, it's one of the signs. I noticed in the article it did not talk about the amount of bleeding or number of separate fractures.

This reminded me of Natasha Richardson (although I didn’t remember her name). When I started looking it up, I found this article comparing her death to Saget's.

"Bob Saget's deadly head injury is a tragic reminder of another actor's untimely death"

I like her story...not the dying part. She was Vanessa Redgrave's daughter.

Berry Oakley, original bassist for the Allman Brother's Band, was in a motorcycle accident. He denied medical treatment, said he felt fine. He died later that night from a brain hemorrhage.

British singer Sandy Denny fell down a flight of stairs and bumped her head. She was a little sore, but otherwise all right. A few hours later, she was dead.

It happens.

...then again, in this case, it could be an excuse for something more wild OR sinister. We'll clearly never know.
