They should have dogpiled her. But really she did get what she deserved by getting laughed at by everyone, probably including the police. I have a feeling island people have sense of humor regarding kooky tourists.

You have to develop a sense of humor about tourists.
They bring in income but some can be annoying and treat the area like it’s their personal playground.We have them here.

There is one benefit Karens have to offer society. Loads of entertainment watching Karen videos. Although it's a bit scary how many of them there are.

There's a lot of tourist destinations in poor third world countries where the people are poor but the beaches are beautiful,

A international hotel chain builds a hotel on the beach and the local white sandy beaches are reserved for international tourists.

So our Caribbean Karen might have imagined her slice of beach heaven was not for locals and became annoyed/irritated at having to share her sun-baking space with noisy locals. She (like many tourists) think they pay for privacy.
