Not meaning to be desensitized, but it seems like there's been six years of stories like this breaking every other day.

And too many Americans have been content to ignore these constant warnings.

It is different in Australia, hence the confusion. 8)

Imagine if Trump actually went through with sending missiles to Mexico????

No wonder the Pentagon disliked him so.

Do you mean "Trump Derangement Syndrome" (TDS)?
Not again.

It's the news when you learn how close your country had come to disaster. And Esper is a far more reliable source than Trump for what had occurred.

Esper was sacked by Trump, I believe.
Not his biggest fan.
I am still skeptical. Corroboration would be nice.

Esper had been fired because he had contradicted Trump's moronic ideas, such as wanting to shoot peaceful BLM demonstrators, and had opposed renaming military bases named for Confederate traitors - which Esper had supported - among other things.

The word of a disgruntled former employee should be viewed with skeptisism, in my book. 8)
I am not saying what he said isn't true.
I am saying, as Fnord would say, I need evidence. ;)

Considering that Trump has had a bad record when it came to competency and sanity, I'd say Esper's claims are pretty credible. Also, other White House insiders had made similar claims in the past.

People lie for various reasons.
I prefer to maintain a skeptical mindset.

Bottom line, Shooting protestors by police never eventuated.
Over here in Australia, police *did* shoot protestors ***with rubber bullets***.
Can you see how context could be manipulated? ;)

I consider Trump as being a political mistake caused by a corrupt Ammuuuian political aristocracy.
But I also consider voting for "anyone but Trump" a big mistake, also. 8)

Notice how many "disgruntled employees" Trump has.....

Trump uses people, then puts them under the bus.

The top brass had issues with Trump being a businessman and a peacemaker, so I have read.
I try to keep an open mind. 8)

Trump was a political mistake, yes.

BTW, If you hadn't been posting in-between my posts, I would have had a series of my posts strung together.
This is the problem with being in a remote time zone. 8)

Skunk:
How so is "voting for anyone but Trump" also a mistake? He's an insane idiot and narcissist. I think not voting for him ever is a sound strategy.

And I'll take Biden every time over Trump. Even if his mind isn't as sharp as it had once been, the fact remains he's still light years more competent than Trump. Plus, Biden's hardly suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder, nor is he the dictator loving, wanna-be-strongman Trump is.

In the beginning there were many other candidates to choose from than Biden to replace Trump. Probably the absolute worst choice was Biden. And close to that was choosing Hillary out of many. If Trump wins in 24, the poor choice of Biden will play a big factor in that.
